╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ This is the official manual for Valor Legion.
Index:
Section 1 - RANKS Section 2 - RULES Section 3 - LABELS Section 4 - POSITIONS
╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ Section 1 - RANKS ╚════════════╝
RANKS MEMBER - OFFICER PROMOTION:
These are loose descriptions of how to achieve each rank from Member - Officer (there is no step-by-step process of earning ranks: Senators promote based on their own observations and opinions):
[1-LR] Private - be accepted into VL. [2-LR] Corporal - attend a training or two, be attentive. [3-LR] Captain - attend trainings/raids/other events. Obey orders. [4-LR] Legionnaire - be mature, post on the wall, patrol the fort, attend trainings/raids/other events. Must have read this whole manual. [5-LR] Major - patrol the fort frequently, show commitment to VL, help out lower ranks, obey Senators, post on the wall, very frequently attend trainings/raids/other events. [6-LR] Officer - patrol the fort very frequently, be committed, attend as many trainings/raids/other events as you can, help out lower ranks, be mature, be respectful. Be considered potentially worthy of Executive.
These are additional attributes and actions that will help you earn a promotion to whichever rank:
-combat skill -not complaining, flexibility -listening, quietness -paying attention -obeying orders -a good attitude -foruming positively about VL -helping out lower ranks -calm and mature reactions -building VL places -building VL models -recruitment -being active -patrolling the fort -respect
RANKS EXECUTIVE - COUNCIL PROMOTION:
[1-HR] Executive - Executives are Officers who have proved they have good leadership skills, maturity and experience. Only the Chancellor, Second in Command and Third in Command may promote to Executive. These three may hand-pick Officers they think are worthy and promote them to Executive. Senators are encouraged to recommend promising Officers to the Chancellor and/or Second in Command and/or Third in Command for Executive.
[2-HR] Council - Councilmen are Executives who are active, have served VL well and have a lot of experience. They can only be promoted by the Chancellor. Councilmen may recommend Executives for Council to the Chancellor.
[1-POS] Ambassador - Ambassadors are high ranks or leaders of allied clans. They may be "appointed" (not promoted) to Ambassador upon joining the clan (the rank Ambassador cannot be earned). Ambassadors will have the ability to shout only for the following reasons:
-to ask for assistance for a raid APPROVED FOR VL TO ATTEND by a Councilman or the Chancellor -to ask for emergency assistance for defense -to say an important message (such as "___ has declared war on us. We are unprepared and will need help with the war. I will probably shout for assistance." or any message)
Note: Ambassadors will be demoted or exiled for misuse or extreme overuse of the shout. Ambassadors are encouraged to review VL's group shout labels (see Section 3) and use them when shouting. Senators have first priority for the shout (Senators may overshout an Ambassador shout if there is a pressing need to do so).
HOW TO GET DEMOTED/EXILED:
-exploiting and/or stealing places -immature and selfish reactions -spamming -not listening to a Senator -foruming negatively about VL -disrespect -hate or jealousy towards fellow VL soldiers -bitterness or anger about ranks -disobeying orders -making offensive decals, models, or places about VL -profanity -lying -admin attacking -inactivity -running offensive or demeaning ads for VL
╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ Section 2 - RULES ╚═══════════╝
[RULES FOR ALL RANKS]:
-Do not blame, accuse or speak insultingly on the wall at ANY TIME. If there is a matter that needs to be dealt with, speak to any Senator and it will be dealt with privately.
-Do not copy the VL uniform for ANY PURPOSE without permission.
[RULES FOR SENATORS]:
-Do not promote anyone up more than one rank at a time.
-You may shout for VL to help defend allies. However, you may NOT shout for VL to help defend ANY non-ally without special permission from the Chancellor or the Second in Command or the Third in Command.
-You MUST message those you demote explaining why they were demoted. Not doing so while knowing of this rule will result in a demotion.
-Once a Major+ is demoted, Senators must NEVER re-promote them [directly--not they have earned their way back] without talking to their original demoter about the cause for demotion.
-Senators can NOT give anyone access to their account. (That includes friends, siblings any anyone else.) The result of giving someone access while knowing of this rule is imminent demotion.
╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ Section 3 - LABELS ╚═══════════╝
RANK LABELS:
LR: Low ranks. 1 the lowest, 6 the highest. [From Private - Officer] HR: High ranks. 1 the lowest, 2 the highest. [Executive and Council] POS: Position. [Something other than an earnable rank] 2iC: Rank of the Second in Command. [Vice Chancellor] 1iC: Rank of the First in Command. [Chancellor]
GROUP SHOUT LABELS:
All group shouts must be classified with a certain label. At the beginning of your shout, you must put the according label in [] (brackets), and a "1", "2" or "3" before that. Labels with a...
"#1" mean the shout is unimportant, and can be overshouted at any time. Usually "#1" is a message such as "Training over." or "Merry Christmas!"
"#2" mean that the shout should not be overshouted at least for an hour or two (look at what time it was shouted), and, if there is room, you can copy the "#2" shout and put it before your shout, and then shout both. Usually "#2" is something like a message such as calling a training or a link to an important forum post that must be read.
"#3" mean that under no circumstances should it be overshouted without permission from the person who shouted it (or the Chancellor, Second in Command or Third in Command). Usually "#3" is a message such as "We have been admin attacked! Message __ for your rank to be restored." or "THEY ARE WINNING AT OUR FORT. COME DEFEND NOW."
LABEL CLASSIFICATIONS:
#_[TRAIN] - training or a lesson. #_[DEFEND] - defend one of VL's forts. #_[RAID] - raid an enemy fort. #_[MSG]/[MESSAGE] - any message ("training is over", "read this forum post") #_[EVENT] - any event other than a training, raid, meeting or defense. #_[MEET] - a meeting.
NOTE:
-If you shout with a label of #2 or #3, please always post a #1 shout saying that the event is over and participation for that is no longer needed.
-Remember to ALWAYS include the link to the place a training or raid or other event is being held. Do NOT say "at __'s place" or "follow __" instead.
