| I'd watch the Michigan and Alabama game if I were you, unless you want to see how USC will lose that top rank right away in preseason. |

@ sirhurricane,
They consider preseason as your 3 or 4 non-conference games at the start of the year. Shouldn't you know that? |

| no, they do not, they don't say (i.e.) "florida state has a 0-3 record in the preseason", that makes no sense what-so-ever... |

i guess you could call it pre conference play but since independants don't have a conference, it's stupid to say it's preseason football for them |

No... they call it preseason because it doesn't count at all for your conference record.
Some call it "preseason", while others call it "non-conference", I don't really think it makes a difference. |

>minnesota logic >pre-season
i still see it as season, reason why being that it still counts for your total overall record and that's what sends you to your bowl, BCS or not. |

| It's called pre-season be it as you may, and don't try to think that everything you say is right like you always do, because that's how you start a classic flamewar. |

| One does not simply play a Pre-Season game in the middle of the Regular Season. |

@ 123yonnd, the non-conference games before your conference games are reffered too as pre-season. But any non-conference games that are within your conference schedule aren't.
@ sirhurricane, well that's great but we'd still know just as much as you in football. We don't have a stadium that has escalators that hang over a ledge and are extremely unsafe to the public. And we don't have a huge gap in the front row of the outfield seats at our baseball field that causes the death of a father, which is 10X better than yours. |

And when did you see that?
Non-Conference Opponents + Conference Opponents = Regular Season. Oregon played LSU the first game of the season. Oregon would most likely be in the National Championship game if they won that game. Every game matters. |

texas is arguably the state of football, minnesota isn't even close, i can name 5 states closer and those would be...florida, california, alabama, arizona, and louisiana.
and guess what, i cant help it if people are irresponsible for their own actions. neither can management. it's their own risk.
you expect people to just slide on rails of escalators with a 60+ foot drop and be OK??? nope. |

| I will give Texas the reign of "State of Football", as long as California gets "State of Baseball". |

Well you can't really call either state of anything because they're both sort of even out in everything, LA winning the cup last season. And Texas making it to the WS twice. Twice? Yeah twice.
Minnesota is the State of Hockey because of 3 components, passion, heart, and desire, not because of a professional hockey team, but because of all of the hockey that goes on around Minnesota. |
