Sorry mate, no idea who you are.

But you seem familiar, like a faceless friend.

(Because I know little of the whereabouts, I won't get too precise to where I am.)

-Merchant Quarters-

I split the Minga'ia into small groups of five and we approach the quarters from all sides, me and my group target the Black Smith. We approach silently, I sneak up behind a guard and snap his neck. I drag the body, and dispose of it in a hay bale. I then continue towards the Black Smith, I turn a Corner and a Guard sees me. Before she could shout for help she gets a knife in her back. I then see an Assassin retrieve the knife and nod at me...

We see the Black Smith, so I then walk normally - hoping to avoid any suspicion. I get to the Black Smith and push the Smith into a room, I grab a knife and hold it to his throat. I hear someone approaching, I turn to see a fellow Assassin. I order her to grab bars of metal, and to spread this order to any other Assassin. I then turn back to the Smith "I'm going to let you go now, so don't do anything stupid."

The Assassins proceed to gather materials, weapons and armour. I return to the Smith and throw him a bag of Gold. He just continues to stare at me in fear, I smile to him and make off with a Bag of Short-Swords.I return to the Minga'ia Hideout to store the stolen goods. I see two groups already there, and I dispatched four groups. We're now just waiting on one.

We wait two hours, there was still enough darkness to dispatch a search party to find the remaining Assassins, there party was halted by two wounded Assassins. We lay the on a bed to ask them what happened, one dies and the other remains. "Something got us, arghh, I don't know what!" The wounded Assassin cries. "It was nowhere, urgha! But it was everywhere!!". He then screamed and died, we paused, trying to comprehend what had happened. But we couldn't find a reasonable explanation.

"Well, at least we've gathered some supplies." An Assassin says. I then turn to him and punch him across the face. "We can replace supplies." I tell him "But we cannot replace a brother!". I punch him again and then throw him to the ground. "We have to find out what did this." I order the Assassins. "To hell with that! I'm not dying trying to find out what killed an Assassin." Another Assassin says. "So stay behind like a coward." I reply "But if we don't try to stop this threat, you'll be dead anyway.".

"So then what are we suppose to do?" The Assassin states "It managed to kill five, fully trained Assassins." "Good point, but we weren't expecting resistance - were we?" I then state. The argument continues until we finally come to the conclusion that we'll try to hunt down, and kill the sorcerer.

(Maybe =P. The whole intention of that was to make this more interesting, I didn't just want to rob a market and celebrate - because that's just boring.

And besides, I seek not to Role-play alone.)

That was not glorious, but it must be done.

I did not wish to kill those assassins, but I would rather I sacrifice a few un-named thieves to achieve my ultimate goal.

Though they valiantly struck down my phantoms, I was able to crush them under the mass matter of dark magic.

Knowing that they will attempt to target me, I make haste for Grado.

We search the area where we had dispatched the Assassins, but there was nothing. We had looked everywhere, but our efforts were feeble. Whoever had done this must've been fast, cunning and lethal - quite the challenge for an Assassin. Yet after many interrogations, we had finally had a someone who broke.

"He didn't kill with steel!" The stated said "He- He killed with magic!" "What kind of magic?" I asked "What kind!?" "I- I don't know, he- he used some sort of spirit, a- a phantom!" He stated, in a desperate fashion. "What did he look like?" I demanded. "I- I don't- I don't know." He cried. I punched him in the gut. "Well, that's descriptive." I state, choking him. "What- did- he look like?" "Arghh, To hell with you!" He shouted. "Kill me, and then you'll never know!"

"If you insist." I say, standing. I grab a curved knifed, and I hold it to his throat. "No no no, please!" He cries. "I'll do whatever you say!" "Good" I reply. "Then tell me what he looks like." "He- he had some sort of robes, the- they were thick" He cried "When he su- summoned the spirits- ah- the phantoms. His robes shook about" "Continue" I demand, still holding the knife to his throat. "He had some sort of belt being strapped to him, holding his armour in place."

"Did the armour break the assassin's weapons?" I ask. "No- no, they never got the chance to." I paused for a moment, taking the knife from his throat. "Do- do I get to leave now?" He asked, anxiously. "I'm sorry, but you saw my face." I say, without even looking at him. "No- no please!" He cried. I held the to his throat once more, and then slit it. He started to breath heavily, as the life slowly drained from him.

I grabbed the torch from the wall, and threw it on the ground. The flame spread throughout the room, igniting faster as it makes contact with the hay and oil I had spread earlier. There was no proof of my presence burned with the corpse of the witness, I was never even there...

(Brutal.)

I truged through the damp sand in the desert. Of course, the tell-tale signs of many footsteps followed us everywhere we went. As the sun started to rise, I knew, I would be obvious in the sands, with my black robes emphasised by the pale sand. Of course, that would make the assassins locate me more easily, but I was sure that these are no more stronger than the average un-trained bandits that plague the realm.

(Too right, mate. =D)

The remaining Minga'ia Assassins fanned out across the city, no-one had fitted the description the victim had mentioned. The day after, I receive word from public news that a mysterious had killed 5 thieves. This may be the break-through I had been waiting for, but his presence was unknown. I order the Minga'ia to fan-out once more, but only this time, to difference cities. (Sorry, but I cannot go into further citation...)

As we were preparing for our journey, unknown people came rushing into the hideout - we had been discovered. The number of infiltrators was far too great, we had to find another way out. So, we found the closest, safest point to the exit and hid. An hour later, it seemed safe enough to evacuate. We were now stripped of our weapons, every man was armed but no consecutive weapons were in reach.

We had started our journey on foot, slowly deteriorating as we entered a desert. We had no knowledge of where we were going, but we just hoped it was in the direction of another city. The journey became harsher and harsher, as we were swiftly running out of supplies. We just hoped we'd find some sort of oasis. Over the hill, it seemed we did. An Assassin ran ahead, anxious to have a drink. But as he bent to have a drink of water, the earth began to pull him in.

We had got there just in time to pull him out, he had lost his weapon belt - though. After a while later, we saw some sort of black figure hovering over the horizon. We continued to walk towards it, it became within visual range.

As I walked, my eyes caught something to my right. A group full of people were heading very quickly to my location, and from their harsh equipment, I deduced them as bandits, looking for blood. My phantom's seemed to have noticed as well, as they drew their weapons, and I reached into the depths of my robes to pull out a Flux tome.

(Flux: Long-range dark magic. A ball full of dark magic sinks into the ground, comes under the victim's feet, and explodes.)

(I sincere don't know what a tome is, I looked it up in the dictionary but nothing was satisfactory. Apparently it was some sort of cutting tool.

I'm going to make it so that you're the only one that can see your phantoms, but this is only in idle. If they become active, they're visible. This may not be the way you'd like it, but it may add a factor of psychology - just like this: You cannot see them, until it's too late.)

This man became clear, it was the very sorcerer whom destroyed my Assassins - their vengeance, ends now. I retrieve my Short Sword, and charge him, with the Assassins right behind me we would fight as one - this man shall at last taste steel. He turns, only revealing minor features of face looks directly towards us, he seemed we were week - and pitied us.

This further added to our rage, whilst me and another remained silent. The others were roaring and giving out battle cries, but this man showed no fear. He reached into his robes, and pulled out some sort of tome. He bowed to, and mumbled a form of language we couldn't comprehend.

Suddenly, an explosion happened at our feet. And we dropped directly to the ground, two Assassins rolled, and continued to run towards this sorcerer. One got stabbed, by something we couldn't even see. It's image slowly began taking shape, and more of these began to grow. Me and the rest of the Assassins, rose to fight these phantoms whilst the other Assassin would kill the Sorcerer.

He swung at his head, but the sorcerer ducked. He went to stab his chest with some sort of ghostly blade, but his armour seemed to have deflected it. He swung at his head again, the sorcerer dodges, and drove the ghostly sword from the bottom of his head to the top. Killing him instantly.

(You can take it from here. =D)

(A tome is a thick book. Sorry.

Btw, if you want, go on the Fire Emblem wiki and look up all the dark magic. Or I'll explain it to you right now, if they have a (R) at the end of their name, that means it a rare tome:

Flux: Basic, generic damage spell.
Luna: A spell which commands a series of shadowy balls that ignore enemy magical resistance.
Nosferatu: Hard to hit with, but once it is landed, it will sap life away from enemies and feed it to the caster.
Genzepetz (R): Dark lightning.
Gleipnir (VERY RARE): Dark meteors.
Eclipse: Long range focused darkness attack.
Yerisha (Only summoner use): Summons phantoms

There's probably more, but these are the ones I know the most.)

--

I finished the assassin, but being less physically able, combined with the staggering heat of the desert, it left me very tired. I watched the other assassins beat down my phantoms, because if they even take one hit, they will die, being made of air trapped in armor. Tired, I dropped my Flux tome and retrieved my Nosferatu tome. Though it was hard to land a hit on one of them, the rune that it summoned had come on top of one of them, striking him, forcing him to the ground, as another rune appeared above me. There, purple energies were slowly being sapped from him to the rune, with my rune feeding purple energy to me. I felt more resilient to the gaze of the sun, and realized that these were no ordinary bandits. The leader of the group was still charging at me, and so I picked my Yerisha and mumbled words, a gate opened in front of me and 3 phantoms charged out, armed with polearms, swords, and axes.

(I'm going to stay fare, and focus primarily on mortal capabilities; no magic.

And when you were mentioning your magic, I had to scroll up to see what they meant. =D)

Phantoms appeared before me, I could not believe my eyes. This man was more than a sorcerer, he was a summoner. I didn't know much about his warriors, but it felt fitting to test them. I stopped, and them come to me; the summoner smiled. I seemed confused, his eyes glazed above me; curiosity got the better of. I looked up to see what he was staring at and some sort of rune, it had fired a purple bolt at me - leaving me no choice but to dodge.

This came at a cost, a phantom had stuck my chest with a sword. But the hidden armour of which I bared had resulted in minimal, but rather painful damage from the strike. I returned a cheap-shot strike by driving my sword through it's lower chest, miraculously killing it instantly.
Another approached me, I had slit it's throat; It didn't have the opportunity to return a favour.

I focused on the last phantom, but it had stabbed me in the left shoulder. Excruciating pain had plagued my shoulder, but I had to persevere. It retracted his pole-arm to strike again, but I had dodged and sliced the blade off from the rest of the pole. It began to try and whack me with it, it surprisingly had got me twice. Before the third whack could come, I caught it and stabbed him in the middle of the chest. Like the others, It had been killed with one strike.

I went to decapitate his head, but he had dodged. And delivered multiple, unarmed strikes to my chest and head. The style of his attacks had seemed far too similar to the style that of me and the Minga'ia, but I was too cocky - and wanted to fight him unarmed too. I had placed my swords in their holsters, stepped back and gave my combat stance.

He seemed a bit overwhelmed with these capabilities, making me wonder if he had ever trained in hand-to-hand combat. But I had ignored that, and focus on the target. He was the first to strike, throwing multiple fast, but non-lethal punches. He had tried to kick but I had blocked it, it was too fast to catch. He continued to throw fast punches, but I still managed to hit him.

I couldn't help but think that this wasn't even his fighting style, I've never known any kind of summoner or even sorcerer that has the amount of experience in hand-to-hand combat as this man. He broke my thoughts by punching me in the face, I fell back onto the ground. I got up slowly, and angrily, ran towards him; dodging his kick and tackling him onto the ground. It was time for me to show him his place, I slid beside him; and began to throw forceful punches against his face, this followed by multiple headbutts.

I stood to grab my Short-sword, and then held the blade to his neck. He knocked away, and booted me in the gut. Making me walk back slowly, he rolled back, stood up, and charged me for a tackle. I kicked his throat, making him fall right to the ground. He was gasping for air, I think I had just crushed his wind-pipe. I stared down at him, he had retrieved a book from his cloak. He opened it, and began to speak the same, comprehensible, language.

I was stuck down by an unknown force, I looked up to the summoner to see him being fed by a purple light. He began rise and I did too, but slower, he struck first again. But this time, with more lethal hits. And only this time, with my own fighting style. This summoner had the capabilities of stealing our fighting style, strength, speed, intellect and endurance. He had push me back, I had maintained my balance. He reached for another book, seeing that I was exhausted, had spoken some words and then summoned phantoms.

I knew I was doomed, but I forgot I had reinforcements. My fellow assassins, had killed the phantoms, and began to strike the sorcerer. But with his stolen reflexes, had dodge most of their attacks and even killed one by snapping his neck. I had enough, I reached for my sword and went to kill him; this time I wasn't having fun.

(That's a lot of writing... I don't think you're even capable of stealing one's fighting style. But so be it, you are now.)

(There are some animations of these spells... Best you look them up to find the best detail in them.)

That's when I knew he was aiming to kill.

I didn't have the time to pick up my Flux book, channel Nosferatu, or summon a gate strong enough for phantoms.

Resigning to at least pull one of them into my fate of death, I scurried to the ground and picked up a lance.

The first assassin charged me recklessly. My lance severly outranged his knives, and even though I was no better in weapons than these assassins, I managed to stab him through the chest before he could jump.

The second assassin conveyed on me from behind. Leaping through the sky, he had his knives ready to sink into my robed neck. I spun around, though I didn't stab him, the side of my lance knocked him out of the air, forcing him to the ground as he coughed up sand. Merciful, I gave him a few seconds to see if he would run.

He did.

Hmm? The mere FACT that you showed your outspoken face here disgusts me.

I think you need to ELABORATE on why you think you have so much JUDGEMENT here.

Is it because you cannot bring yourself to BE A HUMAN BEING, or are you too JEALOUS?

Do you think saying something is bad makes you SPECIAL? Does it? Do you THINK that bringing everyone down to your level is GOOD?

No. Noone wants to hear your crap.

I never knew everything here had to be attuned to your standards?

Nope. Nothing revolves around your pitiful face.

Go away.

I would easily elaborate, but seeing as how the OP is about 8 (at least, that's what I'm guessing from his response and broken caps lock key.), I doubt he could even be bothered to sit down and read it.

What is this? If you think I don't have the patience to read such a reply, why would I even bother typing up the long paragraph that is the story on the front?

I know about Yerisha. It is part of my logic, that summoning phantoms would require a book. Otherwise, to me, it is probably illogical that once you put on some heavy robes and you take off your hood and change your class, that you suddenly are able to use magic without tomes?

(Also, I have not included Ereshkigal because I'd like to see it as Nergal's spell and only his. I assume you would need alot of quintessence to perform it anyway. The others are in DS games.)

(True, it is Nergal's spell, and I see the point.
But there is actually a way to steal it from him. Mine cheat.(*Evil laughter*) Make Nergal give it to any unit that gives an item after killing it, and Ereshkigal is yours.
Any unit can use it as well...Although, sadly, only Magic users have a battle animation with it. Although, be warned. Do not give Nergal a staff. His Staff animation is disturbing.)
