Fellow soldiers, allies, friends, and people who got lost in the C&G forums alike, on the date of August 30th, 2012, I am officially retiring from the United Marine Forces of Robloxia. Some of my best times on Roblox have been spent in UMFR. I was there when UMFR took off, and I was there as well as it slowly sunk into a vast, aphotic, and worst of all, bottomless abyss.
I have decided to 'retire' (I use that term lightly) for multiple reasons. I originally joined because, admittedly, I wanted a code for a door into a room filled with zombies. However, once I joined, I found it to be a fantastic group with active and respectful members, friendly high ranks, skilled fighters, and a stable infrastructure. You may ask yourself, "Why did you stay when UMFR went downhill, then?" The answer is simple: I wanted UMFR to turn around, come back, and exceed its former glory. Unfortunately, after months and months of striving to complete my objective, I have decided that it is a fruitless struggle. There has been no significant rise in activity, only new faces. The high ranks are still friendly, but a lot of them don't have the competence to be in the positions they're in; they're merely there, instead, because they're the only truly active people, and because most of them came into power when so many high ranks quit during the time of the UMFRR that King had nowhere else to turn. A lot of the fighters (the ones that are still active) are unskilled, as good training sessions are infrequently held, and the ones that are have few members that attend, and ones that are disobedient and insubordinate to authority. And finally, the infrastructure is complete and utter garbage. This is the thing that I have been trying to fix the most, but cannot do. I have advised King time and time again to do certain things to help with the growth and prosperity of UMFR, and instead, he says it's a good idea and/or says he will do it, does not do it, and goes on to make even worse decisions (the most recent one being the 'any random person can be on the allies team; this clearly won't cause any problems' decision).
Now, for my goodbyes, and last words to all of you whom I have come to know and love.
Skaterboy693, you were one of the few people that I felt honored to fight alongside of. You are a tremendous fighter and leader. I hope you can do with UMFR what I could not.
Brenobot, you are a great friend, and a great leader; your fighting just needs some work. I know you can make General eventually; you deserve it. Keep on chugging.
Destroyer97, you turned out to be a lot better a General than I thought you'd be, in all honesty. Keep up the good work.
Allie and Hammy, you two make an excellent team. Your fighting needs a bit of work, but you know what to do and how to do it.
Cart, you always knew how to make me laugh. But I'd stop wearing the beard; it looks terrible. c:
Wealth and hector, I'm deeply sorry that I judged you so quickly and so roughly when I first met you. You two truly are good soldiers, and good people.
Jetfuel, why are you still an Officer? Also, hope to see you again if/when you come back to Roblox.
Zabie, you rose through the ranks at rapid speeds. Keep it up, and you can rise higher. You have the potential.
123John3, it was great working with you. You were a bit inactive, but otherwise, you were a responsible General who truly cared about UMFR. P.S: I'd suggest you work on the drop-ship/tweak the jet. The jet looks odd.
Mad, you were as friendly as friendly can be. You could get along with anyone, and I loved that quality about you.
Lordkyky, you have much potential, you just have to push it in order to use it to its full extent. In addition, I apologize for all of those times I nagged you. Most of the time when I nagged you, it was because I cared, not because I wanted to put you down. Actually, 60% because I cared. 39.9% because I wanted to annoy you. 0.01% because I wanted to put you down.
King, I apologize in advance for my retirement. However, there is an old saying: "Sometimes, giving up on somebody does not mean that you do not care; you simply realize that they don't." I hope you listen to the others, as they can offer you some good advice. I'd also suggest you consult with them before you do anything drastic as you've been doing for quite a while. At any rate, good luck.
And finally, last but not least, xx. When I first met you, I looked at you and saw an up-tight Vaktovian snob who cared about nothing more than yourself and about turning us into you. I realize now, however, that you are doing your best, no matter what the odds, to restore UMFR, as I have been trying to do. You have taught me many important lessons about the clan world, the most significant being seriousness. As I said to Skate, I truly, honestly hope that you can do what I could not. And thank you.
It has been great working with you all, and I wish you the best of luck. I will be moving on to other things, and using my spare time to increase my activity in my other groups. As my last request, I ask that you all come together to make UMFR and her soldiers flourish. Thank you for everything.
