Great idea
@Popin
It's not insecure
If anything it's more secure because of the fact that it's a bleeding edge distro.

"The Live CD doesn't work. -_-"
Oh, trust me, it does. If thousands of people, including myself, managed to use it, then it works. |

@Silvu @Julien It boots and then shows a gray screen, and then the screen goes black and nothing happens. There are no options for me to do anything.
So it can't be a user error. |

Fedora is horrible. The default font is ugly and the user interface is horrifying. use Ubuntu. It may not be the best OS but it's definitely the best distro. |

@Tenal I'm using Ubuntu.
I was also considering trying out Arch Linux. It looks nice. |

@popin What are you on? Fedora, insecure?
Yeah, you just lost all credibility as a linux technician.
@emess You were never qualified to give an accurate opinion, anywho.
@silvu Refer to @popin
@fredrick Sounds like a drivers error. |

@avolition Never said I was. However I consider myself to have an artistic taste and I'm not going to lie; Fedora's user interface is an eyesore and I am confident that you could agree with me. |

I think Fedora's UI is brilliant.
As is Ubuntu's. |

@OP If you want to get a quick glance at it, even if you are going to stay with it(a lot do), try fedora + xfce. So pretty... |

@silvu And is that all I'm insulting it for? No, I struggled when installing Chrome; I tried both with the terminal and the website. |

| No, that wasn't it. I executed it, nothing popped up. Use the terminal, nothing happens. Hey look, Chrome appears on my applications list. I press it. Nothing happens. I press Firefox. It loads up. |

@Ten
Well if you just installed Fedora you need to update Yum and then restart before you can install anything.
I don't know if this is the case with Fedora 17 as the last actual Fedora I used was 16.
I say actual because I used a distro called Fuduntu for quite awhile which is like a lightweight Fedora with gnome 2.x.
You can't really call it a spinoff anymore because they branched off from Fedora after 14, but it's still pretty damn close. |

Also you're an idiot if you tried to install Chrome via yum.
It's proprietary so it's not going to be in the default repository of any distro.
I don't think that Chromium is there either, even though it's 100% opensource. |

| oh jesus WOW I would have guessed- nope. The scripter forum is a huge Linux loving circle jerk and you guys would be willing to kill yourselves to prove it. Break the analogy of smart people being Linux users because that's seriously false. |
