So, here is my new concept of a game I am >thinking of making.
First of all, I love survival.
So, I'm thinking of creating a game, where you have to survive - it's survival taken to the extreme. Everything you do - will get you killed. You jump off that rock, you die. You eat that poisonous berries, you die. And, unlike any other game, your 'hunger' or 'thirst' levels don't reduce in a week. They reduce in an hour. (Disclaimer: in-game time, most probably 4~6x faster than garnold's survival) Also note that the weather could have it's effects as well. Sitting in the rain for too long will get you a cold and will increase your hunger, thirst, and lower your body heat.
So, there goes the main vocal point of the game - collect berries, mix and match ingredients to make food, mix and match objects to create shelter, avoid the bad weather, watch out for other players as they can kill you, and try to survive the longest.
People will have to survive the longest they can - that is, if other players don't kill them. The round will end when only 1 survivor is left surviving. Then, a new round starts.

This one doesn't involve building...
This one just involves gathering, getting energy by eating/drinking, and surviving other players by making simple wooden weapons.
Just think of this game as something you'd expect when you're lost in a jungle with absolutely nothing. lol.

I know I got caught up on a small thing, but you said if it's raining it would reduce your hunger and thirst. Why thirst? Unless the water is polluted you could drink it.

@thek00lkid; Nope. It's gonna be so hard nobody will survive for more than real-world 2~4 minutes.
@thedestroyer; I dunno. It was an example. ;3 I should add: Hunger Thirst Body Temperature Body Strength Condition
Hunger : Level of how hungry you are. IF 100%, you're filled. IF OVER 120%, you're going to become tired and hard to walk. If below 10~15%, you're gonna become hungry and reduces your body strength by 40%. If lower than 0%, say goodbye to the world.
Thirst : Level of how thirsty you are. IF 100%, you're not thirsty. IF OVER 120%, you're going to become filled with water and find it hard to walk. If below 10~15%, you're gonna become dehydrated and find it hard to focus. If lower than 0%, say goodbye to the world.
Body Temperature : Level of your body temperature. 37 degrees is the default. Going to freezing water will drop it by 10 every 4 seconds., going to normal water will drop it by 4 every 30 seconds. Your body temperature will regenerate to 37 if you're out in the open. If you acquire several diseases, your temperature might go up to a maximum of 43 and a minimum of 15. If lower than 10 degrees, you will receive hypothermia and if not treated for at least 20 in-game seconds, you will die. If hotter than 43 degrees, you will enter hyperthermia and die.
Body Strength : 100% is your default strength. Fatigue will decrease it, and several other factors including disease, and thirst and hunger levels. If lower than 75%, you can't do actions that require strenght. IF lower than 50%, you can't swim and cut down tree's branches. If lower than 25%, you'll find it hard to walk and can't do most actions.
Condition : Basically a container of your conditions. If you receive poisoning, you're strenght will decrease and temperature will increase, and your health will decrease every 2 seconds. If you receive bleeding, you will acquire blood loss when not treated for 1 in-game minutes. More will be added.
See? It's that hard to make, and that hard to play. qq

Also, would you guys want this to be just:
Spawn on the map, survive for as long as you can. Using 'days' like in Apocalypse Survival.
OR
Have rounds and when it starts, all players get teleported to the map, and whoever survives the longest wins the round.

Sounds good. Possibly make it so that gathered items have an expirey date, meaning after about 1 day (in-game time) they are no longer useful to you. |
