| Latin is a pretty language, but sadly it's useless in modern times, unless you were a historian, because then you could read Roman texts. |

It's not worth learning Latin just for this reason. A lot of languages that derive from Latin have derived those roots as well, so if you learn one of them then you learn the roots as well- along with the advantage of finding someone to talk to in it. |

| Honestly, Latin isn't really a language to speak. It's more of an exercise to strengthen other languages. It certainly has come in handy for the SAT because of the latin roots. |
