Where are the two step vibes? I'm tired of halfstep! I'll get into that.
Dubstep is ridiculous! It's basically "crunkalot," which is some 2 step vibes mixed with more prominent basslines from DnB!
The drums are just uninteresting, the DJs are BLAH (rather listen to Marcus Intalex than D-D-DJ Youngsta), dungeon is annoying, bro is prevalent.
It seems like the only person reviving those 2 step vibes is Burial... |

| No, you're thinking of bro. Listen to something like Loefah - Mud, and then you will see dubstep for what it is: bassweighty halfstep. I don't like that! Bassweight I can of course tolerate, but not halfstep! |

If that's what dubstep really is, I'm not a fan. |

If that's what dubstep really is, I'm not a fan. _____ That's perfectly fine. Dubstep is really about minimalism. If you want to listen to really pure, distilled, primordial dubstep, listen to Benga's "Skanq" or Benga's "dose." |

>Benga's "dose."
This was by far the best song I've listened to (Out of "Mud," "Skanq," and "Dose") The others were just, I'd hate to say it, but I must. .. Boring.
If you could suggest something similiar to "Dose," I'd be happy. I honestly don't know how to start to get into this genre. Any help would be appreciated. |

If you're serious and not just being sarcastic, I'll list a bunch of producers and labels that you can check out, some prominent, some obscure.
(If you really want a banging track that you can play on loop, look up Badman VIP by Kryptic Minds; it's a dubplate, though. RSD - Jah Jah Rain is good, and Goth Trad - Psychic Power is a BANGER!)
Killawatt Quest Octa-push Shackleton Commodo TMSV Tunnidge Sharmaji Kahn Jack Sparrow LD RSD Badawi LHF Double Helix Silkie Distance Swindle Compa Scuba Kromestar Hijak Truth Digid Knife The Dub Mechs Benny Ill Thelem Biome Compa Phaelah Objekt VIVEK Goth Trad Cyrus Pinch Kode 9 Coki Mala Loefah
Labels:
DMZ Deep Medi Musik Swamp 81 Osiris Blackbox And a little bit of Hyperdub

| Well, there are really three subgenres of dubstep, at least in my opinion: tearout (Coki is probably the most prominent tearout producer), dungeon, and 808. Tearout is more midrange focused with a lot of wobbles (check out Kromestar - Monster Dub or Coki - Goblin), dungeon is deep with a lot of growls (look of J:Kenzo - The Roteks), and 808 is just ridiculous and corny (look up Ramadanman). |

>Kromestar - Monster Dub Not really all that interesting. I didn't enjoy the animal sounds and the guy talking in it.
>Coki - Goblin Better than the one above. I'm not sure how to describe that main sound - or even what you would call it, but it was way too repetitive and got annoying.
I'm currently listening to J:Kenzo - The Roteks. It's not bad. Kind of enjoying it. I'm planning on listening to Good old days - Jack Sparrow |

Not really all that interesting. I didn't enjoy the animal sounds and the guy talking in it. _______ The reason a guy is talking is because the tune is a dubplate, which means it is unreleased. MCs talk over dubplates so no one rips the dubplates from a set.
