Twice in the last week, while on Roblox my internet has been shut down and the dialogue box message "AVG has found suspicious activity on your computer...and will try to fix it" pops up. Regardless of whether you press exit or ok, it takes you to a website and starts an attack on your computer. Luckily I have Norton 360 and the attacks were blocked. The following info was provided from Norton:
Risk Name: HTTP Misleading Application Download Request 3 Attacking Computer: (Your computer name & IP address) Attacker URL: bd16cef5f.innersafe14.com/setup.exe Destination Address: bd16cef5f.innersafe14.com/setup.exe (193.105.134.111,80) ---I dont know what IP that is, its not mine. Source Address: (your IP) Traffic Description: TCP, Port 2557
This is an attack know to have HIGH severity.
Im letting the Roblox community know so that you can perhaps block this with your firewalls and I would further like to know if Roblox is aware of this attack and trying to stop it.
From what I can tell this comes ONLY from roblox.com. Has anyone else experienced this?

| Roblox needs to fix this, my Norten has blocked 4 attacks in the past week thanks to ads on roblox. They are attached to the Play buttens of games so when you go to play the ad trys to load a virus onto your machine. God roblox get a clue!!!! |

| If this happens, use task manager to kill your browser as soon as it comes up. Don't even bother trying the X or Back button. |

i have heard of this.do not under any circumstances turn the fire wall off.if you have Norton there is a very low chance of it fully attacking the computer. |

| Yeah, it's been happening a lot lately. Best advice is to exit out of browser by Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager, or right-clicking Task Bar and opening up Task Manager to edit your search. |

lol just happened again while on this forum
anyway, Norton is fine it works for me. I dont use the roblox app, i just get on via internet explorer. Finally, Im not going to install Firefox because its a really slow browser, takes up alot of hard space and has alot of features that are useless to me.
You know instead of having to mess around with my browser, maybe Roblox should just fix this. It really annoying
(and p.s. you dont have to click anothing for the virus to pop up, it does it randomly anywhere at any time while on roblox) |

yea...except you dont have to click them...
I dont think its the ads, I think someone has "hacked" the Roblox website and is "kidnapping" people from the website and bringing them to theirs. At least, thats what it looks like is going on. |

It is the ads. You don't have to click on them to trigger.
Your statement about firefox being slow is simply untrue and rediculous. As for taking a lot of hard drive space... lol... I suggest getting a hard drive that wasn't made in 2003. |

My hard drive is just fine. And I guess speed is a matter of opinion, but I personally prefer IE.
Anyway I'm still not convinced its the ads, though either way Roblox needs to fix this. I've found at least 4 or 5 respectable threads on this forum expressing concerns over the exact same issue. Really, it can't be that hard to fix |

| Have you considered downloading Google Chrome? It's a very fast browser and there is an add-on called AdBlock that blocks ALL ads, so that should fix the problem until ROBLOX handles the situation. |

| This is not from roblox! This is obviously an outside virus that is attacking roblox or your most used program. Obviously roblox has nothing to do with this. |

| Roblox has had numerous complains about this. And yes, it is a scam. And I'm glad you got off the hook of it. Good job. But, there is only ONE RULE when you're trying to close it out. DO NOT, AND I MEAN, DO NOT, Close it from Task Manager. It triggers the malware to download automatically. |
