I think anyone can tell technology these days is quite advanced, think about it, we're already vocally talking to machines such as Siri, could possibly, in the near future, could a machine lead us?
I'm talking about a computer, a massive supercomputer, smarter then any politician, one massive computer to make up our entire government, all three branches, smart enough to fill up every position.
Now before you call me crazy, think about it, technology with computers will just get better and better, computers will never truly replace a human, but computers, for example, aren't selfish, computers don't care about themselves, they just want to do their job, if the computer is programmed right, it could do what is best for all of the US, it wouldn't need to be one certain political party, it could be able to see an issue from ALL viewpoints, and with practically infinite knowledge, it could be smarter then any president, senator, and congressman we've ever had, all put together.

| Except that's just a movie, computers don't have murderous tendencies unless programmed that way. |

| Wow! Here I thought OT wasn't that smart. But then I see this... wow. Anyway, I think this might work as long as we have enough electricity to run it and it has a way to turn off if we decide we don't want to use it anymore. |

Any centralized system that pivots on a single point is a terrible idea. it is a web with only one thread, if that thread breaks the whole thing will collapse. |

I think what MrCleaning is trying to say is... what if the computer crashes? Then how will we make up for all those jobs lost to that machine? Then there will be no government.
