WARNING: Ninjutsu is for someone who is serious about it, you have to be consistent with your training. I suggest you make sure your body is healthy or you WILL strain a muscle doing ninjutsu so eat healthy. If you use your skills to commit crimes I will not deny that you will probably get caught. This is only the BASICS right now even with all these skills you are only a STUDENT, Ninjutsu takes YEARS to master, it's hard work but worth it.
Section I: Ninjutsu Training
Just like any martial art, effective ninjutsu requires more than just knowledge of the techniques. It also requires a body that is able to do those techniques effectively. Here are some training techniques to help condition your body so that you can use ninjutsu techniques effectively.
Grip Strength-
1. Relax your hands and then close them as tightly as you can for two seconds. Repeat as necessary. (If you're doing this right, your forearms will start to feel sore.)
2. Jump up and hang by your hands on a tree branch with your arms straight. Stay there as long as you can. (This exercise was used by training ninja to build strength, endurance, and patience)
Harden your Knuckles-
1. Stick your hand in a pile of sand
2. Repeatedly open them up and close them for massive grip strength and skin strength
Hardening your knuckles is important because you don't want to hurt yourself when you punch something.
Jump Height-
1. Jump in place while keeping your legs straight. (strengthens you calf muscles)
2. Find a small ledge (like a step or something of similar height) and jump onto it and back down repeatedly.
3. Jump as high as you can until you exhaust yourself.
Leg Strength & Endurance-
1. Go into a low horse-riding stance ( legs double shoulder width apart, knees deeply bent) and stay there as long as you can.
2. Standard exercises (such as push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, ect.) are also good for conditioning your body and should be done regularly. Also, be sure to practice your taijutsu reguarly, especially your dakentaijutsu (kicking and punching) and your ukemi (rolls and breakfalls)
Section II: Basic Combat
Hand to Hand Combat (Taijutsu) Taijutsu, the art of hand to hand combat, is one of the many important parts of Ninjutsu. It itself consists of Dakentaijutsu (Punches and kicks, other body strikes), Jutaijutsu (Grappling, locks, throws), and Ukemi (Rolls and breakfalls.)
Hand Strikes-
Hand strikes are your bridge between kicking (geri) range, and grappling (jutaijutsu) range. Even a block is a kind of hand strike designed to damage the opponent's limbs. Ideally you should be able to employ a variety of hand strikes in quick succession from varying angles. Be relaxed, not tense, and know when to whip your strikes and when to follow through with them.
The Immovable Fist- This is the old classic fist, fingers balled up with the thumb on top. Usefu for softening an opponents defenses, and pretty much everything else. It has three striking surfaces: Punch, hammer-fist, and back-fist. However, you may need to punch hard objects to harden your knuckles.
Pressure Point Fist- for this fist make a "thumbs up" and then press your thumb down like you're thumb wrestling (thumb against index finger). Strike with the tip of your thumb, so that you can hit small pressure points on an opponent. This is only really useful against soft targets, but nothing else works for nerve strikes.
The Middle Knuckle Fist- Strike with your middle knuckles, the joints right above your normal ones, or your palm. Harden your middle knuckles the same way as your normal ones.
The Knife Hand- The basic "Karate Chop", also known as Shuto. Not really a "fist" but good for moving bones out of place. DO NOT use your fingers at the striking surface (unless you want to break them). Strike with the side of your palm opposite your thumb.
Clawing Strikes- Commonly known as "Tiger Style" this is holding your hand splayed open as if to claw and scratch, which is exactly what it is used for. However, don't just leave the hand rigid when clawing, dig the fingers/nails in before pulling away, which is more likely to rip skin and muscle tissue. You can also jab at the face (esp. eyes) with the fingers.
Cupped Strikes- use open hands to strike the ears. The hands are open and slightly bent, as cups, which you can also use to take water. When training, dont really hit the ears, because it's a powerful dazing strike. This strike can also be used elsewhere as a palm-heel strike.
Bone Strikes- Like pressure point fist, but the tip is put on the middle knuckle of the index finger, so the knuckle of the thumb sticks out and points upwards. The thumb knuckle is used to hit.
You should also work on your flexibility from the waist below, you should work on being able to fall and get back up very quickly and easily and learn pressure points, if you want to learn more on Ninjutsu, you can learn a lot online but this guide is to get you started.
Section III: Spirituality
You do not need to change religions to master ninjutsu, but it is helpful if you have spiritual refinement, that helps you focus your mind and body better in combat. You need to decide on a set of morals you can truly abide by. |

@mike Yes, some martial art instructors do that as a form of discipline, but it is good exercise nonetheless. |
