1. Colonizing, the map will be gridded medium. If you were to claim terrictory you would need to purchase a "settlement group" and send your settlement group to where you want to colonize, they move 1 time on the grid per day, you also can earn these by gaining members.
If jeff has 20 members, and tom has 10 members, though tom has TBC and jeff has BC, if Jeff wants land he will most likely purchase it with more members, meaning when he hits a certain number of members he will be able to get a "settlement group" though since tom has less members but more money, he can purchase one of these sttlement groups"
Jeff wants to settle a city right next to his capitol, it takes him one day to get to the grid zone and he asks Third448 if he can have the group settle. Third agrees, he then marks the terrictory next to his capitol his color, land does not need to be completely in grids, though the terrictory will be in a SOMEWHAT squarish shape. Tom would like to colonize in india, so he sends a voyage from East Africa, every day his voyage settlement group is moved one space until to its destination, OR Third is told where they would like to settle, and third counts the gird spaces. If there are 10 grid spaces, he writes on notepad: 10 Days. Every day he minuses 1 day, once it reaches 0 he will annex that terrictory.
Though in order to keep these terrictories you will need a fort/city to occupy it as well as a garrison of soldiers ( See section 2 for "garrison" rules ) Bob and Jeff then name their new terrictory they take "CR (Terrictory Name) (Garrison Number)". Example: CR London 52. Though you dont just place a name you need a certain number of houses (Third448 can decide) and protection, it may be very low if you want, though it will be easy to take over ( See section 2 ).
I belive this way, as you said in the group description it is fair, if you have more members or money you can afford more terrictory, if you are a good builder as well you can have many terrictories, though if you have no forts then you cannot partisipate, which seems to be like a good rule.
2.Garrisons, groups of soldiers will be used to defend your terrictory. This also leads me to, "battling" but first I will explain garrisons. Garrisons as I said will be used to defend terrictory. Jeff has 20 members in his group, and now that he has new land, he will need to protect meanwhile defending his own land. He places 5 men in his new colonized land, and 15 in his capitol, ALTHOUGH he can not do this instantly. If he wanted to do this, he would have to TAKE 5 SOLDIERS WITH his "Settlement Group", you cannot instantly teleport people to garrison cities. Depending on your amount of members, you can spread garrisons on your land, as I said before in Section 1.
2. a.Battles, first when a war starts an Administrator and the 2 leaders will meet and discuss the terms. Either it be for land, or money, or power. If someone wins and the other group does not honor their treaty, they are kicked out of CR. This administrator (if he is neutral) will become the "battle judge". Battle judges will watch each battle for cheating, and will stop and start the battle. Depending on your garrison, is how long you can fight. If I were to have 10 men in my garrison, and an army of 5 attacked me ( See section 3 for attacking parties) Then once 5 of them are killed, the battle will end, though if 10 of the defenders are killed the battle will end as well. If, one side runes out of men then the other side will win that battle weather it be invading the land, which will result in TAKING that land if they win, or defending. If an attacking army is defeated their army will all go straight back to their capitol, ready for deployment. If the attackers win they will as I said, take the land.
3.Soldier Movement, if you want to reinforce and area, garrison a blank spot, or block of a blank spot you can move a garrsion just as you would with a settlement group, whichever side loses restarts at their capitol. EVERY Battle must be spectated by a battle judge.
Thats all I have so far, it may be a bit screwed up because I wrote it very fast, but I hope you like these ideas so far. I may have forgot a few things, but I belive I covered the basics, il also make another post about naval settlement groups or garrisons. |
