So ya.
I went to Mount Chiliad yesterday for the mission: "Badlands" and near the cabin I heard strange noises, and I heard a few, faint screams from the distance. I didn't care until checking out, DarkMythHunter, TheseMyths, and a few others on Youtube.
Apparently I encountered a myth.
Anyone else have any other experiences? |

This is for Left 4 Dead 2, but nonetheless it fits in relatively with the subject matter.
Me and a guy I just met were doing Survival on the 'Motel' map, and while looking for a place to make our Stand, we noticed a body on the ground we never saw before. Didn't look human or zombie, if anything it looked like a deadite from Evil Dead. But yeah neither of us noticed it before and it just creeped the hell out of us =x

I decided to rename it "Myths in Video Games"
Anyway that's spooky. Did you play it on the PC? I find that some servers (particularly on MoH:AA) has mods. It could have been a skin, just saiyan.
Another moment was in GTA IV.
Didn't sleep for weeks. I saw a shadow run across the wall. I thought it was another character, but no one was in the building with me. :o |

Nah, it was on 360. Pretty weird stuff. =x "Hey-DUDE LOOK AT THAT BODY!" "Wher-OH HELL NO"
But ya, these "myths" in games are pretty creepy.
Really weird to think if they're glitches or intentionally programmed by the developers or what the hell happened but just, well yeah, creepy and weird. =x

It could have been a glitch, but to be honest, that doesn't sound like a typical glitch to me, weird encounter. Have you had any others?
I was playing "Fallout: New Vegas" yesterday and there was this tribal drawings on the wall, they looked oddly similar to Slender Man. Nice little reference I think.
I love it when a developer interacts with the people who buy their games, I just love the easter eggs, and myths. |

A quick snapshot of the paintings.
They don't look like, Slender at first, but when I was searching on the interwebz some illustrations do look similar to that. Probably not much to it. :/ |

| GTA Vice City had a myth about a random apartment you can enter that has a chainsaw, drugs, and a bloody bathroom. I found it, it's real. |

| In GTA 4 when running from the cops with 5 stars, if you go down into the subway you can encounter the rat man. |

I think this is a reference to "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", but many other say it is a reference to "Scarface" I have never watched the film all the way though, so I can't say for sure.

Nothing wrong with that, man.
It's fun, I f-king love, Rockstar.

I tried this, and did see a strange figure run in the distance I was able to track it down, but only found one of the homeless people. Not sure if the rat man exactly exists. |

| It is based off of Scarface. In a scene where one of Tony's men is chainsawed in a bathtub, there was also a briefcase of drugs in the movie, just likt ehr room. |

Ah, my apologies.
I have to watch that film at some point, but I never get around to doing it, but anyway back to the topic.
I hope GTA V include the myths from San Andreas.
I still spend many hours roaming the countryside looking for "Bigfoot" I did see a shadow in the trees once, but I boiled that down to the trees spawning in and out as I went away from the location, but Darkmythhunter encountered the same thing, weird. |

| the bigfoot thing was debunked. People usually go though the PC files and never find anything. one of the people who worked on the game also said there is no bigfoot. |

Yeah, but with that being said didn't Rockstar later confirm that there was SOMETHING in the woods? In some videos on Youtube strange figures are picked up.
I'm not quite sure what it means, but hey, it's worth investigating. |
