So I was just playing SimTower, and got an idea to make a version of it for ROBLOX. (For those of you who don't know SimTower, but know TinyTower, TinyTower is based mostly off of SimTower.)
The user could essentially place rooms where said person wanted, and elevators. People will eventually come in, rent out residential rooms, work at offices, or spend money at recreation/commercial areas. Elevators would have to be planned carefully, since people may get impatient while waiting for an elevator. The user would have COMPLETE control over the user's tower. It wouldn't just be another tycoon, but your own BUILDING and PLANNING.
This game is called "BloxTower LITE" because It's just the first version, and will feature less intensive simulation mechanics, and only one room per floor type mechanics. I will soon have a tech demo finished.
But enough of that. What do you think of the concept, and/or do you have any ideas that you think should be in BloxTower Lite? |

Bump. A building demo will be ready soon. BloxTower Lite includes multiple rooms so far (Not all will be added at the same time!):
____________ PLANNED:
LOBBY: Lobbies are the very base of every tower. The lobby checks in new visitors, and checks out leaving visitors. You automatically start with a lobby.
RESIDENTIAL: People can move in, and pay you rent, and work at offices/spend money at commercial rooms. Residential rooms can get you a reasonable income, and boost the stability of other rooms, since relying on outside people isn't very dependable.
OFFICE: People from outside the building, or from residential rooms inside come in here during "Office Hours", and gain money to spend in commercial rooms. Office rooms gain you a little amount of money, and can tremendously boost the income of your commercial rooms.
COMMERCIAL: People from outside and inside the building here will spend money for all kinds of unneeded luxuries that they just can't resist. Commercial rooms will be your "main" source of income. ____________ MAYBE:
MAINTENANCE: A maintenance room can house a single janitor or engineer, that can fix objects in your tower/clean up your tower. Broken/Untidy rooms can severely damage your income. Janitors/Engineers are very expensive, and have a wage! Use these sparsely.
MEDICAL: A medical room manages the health of your tower's residents. Better health means more work, and less chance of death! Medical Rooms have very high upkeep, and are not needed, but help a lot.
EMERGENCY: An emergency room handles tower fires, and attempts to put out fires before they can spread. Fire can eventually destroy rooms, and the further away an emergency room is from the fire, the longer it'll take for the fire to be put out! ____________

And the planned people:
Unemployed Resident - A person who lives in your tower, but doesn't have a job. This person pays half rent, with the person's "basic" income.
Office Resident - A person who lives in your tower, and has a job at the office. This person has full rent, and has extra money to spend at your tower
Visitor - A visitor to the tower. This visitor spends money at stores
Visitor Worker - A visitor that works at offices in your tower when you don't have enough residents to fill up all your offices. This person gains you less money from offices.
Janitor - Cleans residential rooms, keeping their value up high and stable
Engineer - Fixes and maintains rooms. Broken rooms still have upkeep, but don't do anything. |

The basic game has been finished, with a whole slew of new features, including the finance screen, banks, and more!
The game itself has been different then planned. For example, elevator placement, and the descriptions of people. People are different then the previous descriptions but still similiar. Elevators, when added, will just be a way to explore you tower.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! |

| Just messing around for a bit, and doesn't the loan system sound a little harsh? Shouldn't it give a warning before just reseting the tower? |

| Make sure you get the camera just right so you can't see your character and it feels like you are playing Tiny Tower. |

| Yeah, 80. I'm thinking of increasing the time limit to 7, and adding a "Time Left" indicator next update. |
