Because theres some people who want to know if we are the only living planet out there.
Also, there is a chance if earth was somehow destroyed, we could TRY mars, The idea is still in beta form. |

This rover is different. Full HD pictures, and the ability to scan dust from rocks to find materials inside fossils to find life.

| What happens when we find something that will advance the human species ten-fold. We will be able to fly through galaxies in a matter of hours, minutes or even seconds. We can finally meet other life form's and create colonies on habitable planets to decrease the population on Earth. We can find planets rich with minerals and plant life. We can finally find a way to cure all diseases including cancer. Who knows. |

@Artic,
I didn't say in OUR galaxy. Also there is still a chance of finding some plant or something on mars with the technology we sent up there, it's the closest environment to Earth itself... |

| Technology isn't there yet. We have just scratched the surface in our universe. Our universe is extremely large. |

@Arctic
It's going to take a LONG time of research to get the technology and data for that. |

| Im also tired of hearing that these aliens look green or grey with giant black eyes and skinny body. No I believe that there are aliens that aren't those types. Like the aliens in the Mass effect series. The asari which are an only female race of blue people with tentacle hairs. Or the salarians which are walking amphibians. |
