with consoles you just pick them up, plug them into your TV, and play the exact same games PCs play with almost no major difference.
With PCs you spend thousands of dollars and hours of setup every 2 years just for a slight increase in graphical power.
and of course, nobody but the PC gaming basement dwellers themselves wants to waste all that. consoles win. |

Major difference is that games are $10 more. It may not seem like a lot, but when you have a large collection it really builds up. There are more, just don't feel like listing them.
"With PCs you spend thousands of dollars and hours of setup every 2 years just for a slight increase in graphical power."
If you're getting a $100 PC it will last a good 5-10 years. You can get a $500 PC that will run games better than an Xbox 360/PS3. |

Nope."
Yes you do the PC itself+the accessories can be worth thousands and it'll become outdated quick if you don't get the top hardware. Thus another hundreds or thousands of dollars. |

No. Unless you spend thousands it'll become outdated quickly and won't run games better than today's consoles. And if it did, it would be at a very low framerate. |

CPUs have a long life, and I don't expect the Core i5 Ivy Bridge to start showing a weakness for about 5 years.
Graphics cards do need updating, but you can sell the old one and get a new one.
Keep believing what your fellow console fanboys tell you. |

1. I meant $1,000, which was the example you gave. If you're spending $1,000 it will last a good 5-10 years. 2. Yes. Consoles are on very low settings at 720p (1280x720). A computer that's less than $500 could probably play games at higher settings than a console. |

| consoles are better with playing with friends, but thats all. PC's can do much more then just play games. |

"7 year old console hardware < PC" It doesn't even matter because there isn't much of a huge difference. Unless you actively try hard to find them. but most people just sit back and play so it doesn't matter. |

Now lets take a rundown of what the XBOX 360 and the PS3 puts out
1280x720 native at 60 fps. 1920x1080 is upscale at 30fps.
2xAA, cant tell if AF and MSAA filtering technology is used
Low texture detail, presumably the lowest if on PC
Poor "up close" details. Ever looked at an mans face on the 360 and it looked fuzzy? That's poor antialiasing and texture details at work. |

| ofc the lowest of the low is worst on the PC, game developers on the PC don't optimize games for every exact peice of hardware on the game like the xbox 360 devs can. |

| To people like me, the details for the XBOX 360 just doesnt really cut it. I like to have a good image, and not everything aliasing when I am driving in snow, blood gushing, etc. |

>I buy 400 dollar computer, download ROBLOX and TF2=436.99$
Argument is invalid
