Well, he won't win it unless McCutchen starts to fade or the Pirates fall back in the standings.
I put Posey in 2nd because of McCutchen. |

Zsjz, you put Melky on twice.
Also Andre Either? Posey out beats him in every important category for a clean-up hitter. |

| Just because Votto is out doesn't mean you should be counting him out. :) |

Double, you haven't looked at any of the stats. Using offensive stats alone will make him MVP. His defense makes him a sure lock MVP.
Unless he starts to struggle at the final stretch of the season. |

Cabby: Average is catching up, More HR, More RBI.
Cabby is in Top 3 in Triple Crown Catagories, Miggy is your MVP. |

Do you really think that Cabrera can make up .23 points on his batting average with Trout staying at pace?
Also, RBIs is a non-factor in this because Trout is a lead-off hitter. Cabrera is a clean up hitter. Much different parts in the lineup. Trout is leading the league in runs.

OFF-SEASON UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera: For so many reasons. With Trout basically flopping like a trout out of water in the crucial last few months of the season Cabrera took over the reign like a Triple Crown King he is. Saber metric fans have been overrating their own stats, and being hypocritical by saying home runs, batting average, and RBIs are overrated. The MVP is made and will always be made for the power slugger who is hitting in the heart of the line-up. It takes a hell of a season for a lead off hitter to win the MVP. The last time that happened was Ichiro in 2000. NL MVP: Buster Posey: Just like how Trout dropped of in the late months of the season McCutchen did the same, along with his Pirates who had another losing season. Posey like Cabrera also had a second half to remember, even with Melky Cabrera suspended for PEDs. Lets not forget Posey won the batting title as a catcher, the last time any catcher in the majors won the MVP it was Joe Mauer who also won the batting title that year. |
