Before you rage and say, "Y U MAEK BANDEET GUIDE AND NU SURVIVOR GUIDE" I will, maybe in a few days.
*This is my first guide I have ever wrote so maybe I will re-wright it if it's not too good*
Also I play as a bandit in a group, sometimes as a survivor, anyays onto the guide
1. Table of contents [ ] 1: Table of contents 2:Starting out 3:Banditry for dummy's 4:Get dem good guns 5:Groups 6:Group management 7:Classes and Roles 8:Tactics 9:Setting up base 10:Bandit campfire 11:Closing notes [ ]
2. Starting out ---------------------
You spawn into the world, with only a Makarov, Soda, And can of beans. I expect you to know how to start out. But here are some weapons of interest if you are expecting to kill some people with low tier weapons:
M1 Garand: In my opinion the best Semi - auto gun in the game, It can take down people fairly easy, Ammo is not too common. Overall a good gun.
Mosin - Naget: The only bolt action in the game, Only use if designated sniper in a group, otherwise drop it for another weapon. Ammo is common.
M1911: A nice sidearm for close quarters combat. Ammo is common.
3.Banditry for dummys ---------------------- Allot of people think that bandits kill for fun, that's some what true. Bandits kill for SUPPLYS, PKer's kill for fun. But bandits generally kill on sight. I do not like it when people back stab a group, because wheres the fun in that? Because back stabbing is an easy kill. I honostly wish people fought back more, allot of Bandit related death could be EASILY avoided. Such as checking your back ever 20 seconds, shoot on sight, etc...
Since me and my group are at End game items, so we generally kill on sight. but if it is a freshly spawned person we surround them and say, "Hand over the beans and no one gets hurt." Usually they do, if they run or dont comply, They get a bullet to the skull.
4.Get Dem Good Guns ----------------------- After awhile shotguns and Makarov's get boring, you want good loot! So head up to NE Military airfield or Vernal Military airfield. Those places have the end game gear there, but take precautions, There are ALLOT of zombies there and there most likely is another group/player held up in there, every member of your group should at-least bring...
-A rifle: Don't bring a shotgun, too little ammo and isn't long range.
-4 mags for the rifle: You may get into a firefight
-A sidearm: Don't use your primary on zombies, use your sidearm.
-2 Blood Bags: You may need to heal
-2 Eatable items
-1 Drinkable item
5. Groups --------------------- Sooner or later you will encounter a group, but how do we deal with them? You have a few options: 1: Don't get into their sight, stalk them until they have let their guard down, then kill them.
2: Kill them on the spot
3: Leave
Your call
6.Group Management -------------------------
Wouldn't it be fun to be in a bandit group or even lead one? Trust me, its allot more fun to do banditry in a group, if you decide to do it in a group I recommend only playing with friends who you know in real life or met outside this game. Also don't use in game chat, use a program that allowes voice sharing in a group.
And I have seen so many groups that say, "We all own the group". Major mistake. You NEED a designated leader. Because if you don't what happens is if you get ambushed by a enemy group everyone is going to say what to do and everyone will just bark random orders, you wont survive. You need one.
7. Classes and Roles --------------------------
This goes along with number 6.
Everyone needs to have a role in the group, here are some.
(A player can be assigned to more than one role)
Scavenger: Scavenges stuff from places. Best if goes along with a companion. Suggested loadout: Primary:M1 Garand or shotgun Secondary: Makarov or M1911
Guard: Stays at home base and guards. Should have long range accurate weapon. Suggested loadout: Primary: M4A1 (Or Mosin - Nagant if M4 is not avalible ) Secondary: M1911 or M9
Soldier: Basic rifleman that kills zombies and players Suggested loadout: Primary:M1 Garand, AK-47. Secondary: M1911 or M9
Heavy gunner: Light machine gunner Primary: MK - 48 Secondary: M9 or USP45
Sniper: Covers friendlies as they loot or long range rifleman Primary: Mosin - Nagant or M1 Garand Secondary: M1911
Classes:
The soldier: Same as soldier
Heavy Calvary: Primary: AK or M4A1 Secondary: Any
Kamikaze: Primary:None Sidearm: Any
Up close and personal: Primary: Shotgun or MP5 Secondary: USP45
The Tank: Primary: AK-47 Secondary:USP45
Party Crasher: Primary: MP5-SD Secondary: USP45-SD
The Professional: Primary: M4A1 Secondary: M9-SD
8.A Few Tactics ----------------------
You can't always go head first into a firefight, so use tactics!
Pincer:
Pincer means to attack from two sides of an opponent, so say you have a team of 4, Make squad Alpha and Squad Bravo, say someone is held up at NE Military airfield in the 4th hanger, Have squad alpha be a diversion by going to the Fire station and firing from there, So now the enemy is firing at the fire station, now Bravo flanks left hugging the outer wall of the 4th barracks and then gets a clean shot, Bam, Tangos down.
Suppression: Say you are in NE Military airfield held up in a building, Then a group appears and looking to kill you. What do you do? Since the guy who spotted them was probably a Guard and you men are most likely scavenging the place, Tell them there a group, them just shoot at their general location, don't at directly at them, just make it seem like there is a whole army shooting at them so they are forced to either 1: Retreat. 2: Take cover. Or 3: Just stand there and get killed. While you are laying down suppressive fire your teammates can get cover and return fire as-well.
Fire and Movement: So you are walking down a then you reach a town, What happens? You get ambushed, But if you do Fire and movement you may have a chance to live. Say two units were inside a building scavangeing while the other 2 stayed outside to scout, the scouts have a good position behind the wall, So then the ambush happens, enemies are on the roofs of houses down 30 or so meters, since the scavengers are inside the building if they step out they will be shot by enemies, So what do you do? Have the two scouts for a few moments give suppresive fire to make the enemies hide, while they are still shooting tell the scavengers to come outside to cover. Then you continue the battle as normal.
9.Setting Up Base ----------------------- If you want to set up home base for your bandit group here are some nice locations:
Any airfield: These need the MOST protection.
Small towns outside of major city's/airfields: Don't need too much protection.
Military bunker in the wilderness: Already pretty much a base, Just make a door.
Make a bunker/house: Only do this for fun, because a attacker could just tear it down.
10.Bandit Campfire ------------------------ After a while walking around and killing players can get repetitive, so go into the wilderness and make a fire pit, then when it comes night go there and have the whole group sit by it and tell stories, eat some beans, drink some soda, and dance!
11.Closing Notes ------------------------ I congratulate you if you have read this all. If not, Meh.
If you want to play Apocalypse Rising with me just send me a message.
If you have any ideas for the Survivor guide just message me them.
Thanks to Gusmanak for making this awesome game.
If you didn't like this and are going to hate/troll, Thanks for the view. ;)
Thanks

I mustache you a question, and I can't shave it for later,
I read a part where you talk about having a leader, well you don't need a leader, you just need some one with good strategy, or some one can say "I will get this guy" and another will tell them the guy they are aiming for.
So there is a way to have bandit groups be successful with out a leader?

@Al
I should have stated that I was recommending a leader, if you have a good group that can handle itself during moments then possible, But I still recommend a group, but its your call.
