I walked in circles in the room, as a leak on the ceiling slowly patted on the floor, making a small puddle on the stone-walled room. In the middle of the room an electric chair stood, preparing for its next victim: a man who was already coming towards the room, as he wore a stained straight-jacket, dragging his feet as he was brought towards the room. The guards dragged him and pushed him, making remarks and snickering to themselves. Soon enough, the iron door creaked open, as the two attached him to the chair.
I said, as I pulled my light-brown overcoat closer to myself and rubbed my hands. "You're next to take a little 'joyride', huh?" The man raised an eyebrow, and then smiled wickedly. "Hahaha," He replied, his villainous cry echoing on the room. "Joyride? What joyride?" A tone of curiosity and fear suddenly overwhelmed his voice, replacing the once mad tone when he had laughed. The man's eyes fell upon the chair in which he was shackled to, and then back to me, letting out a small 'oh'. "Now, before I begin, why don't you tell me a little more of how you came here?"
"It was easy, sir. See, my downfall began not long ago, in the midnight of an October. It was me, and three other men- curse those fools for leaving me- and we sat in the back of this small house where we planned our strike to strike down this man we kept our malicious eyes upon. I could still remember the question of doubt one of us had, as we readied our stolen armaments to prepare to attack this man. Now, see, we hid them on this small bag, and gone off to the dusty and dirty vehicle, and set off towards the house."
He told his story in a fear-inducing, mind boggling way, as he continued the narrative he had began. His story was intriguing in some sort of way I do not understand, but it had stroke me in the heart and mind like an arrow. Soon enough, he had begun to go and elaborate on the ways he killed his victims. They were dark and gruesome, enough to give you goose-bumps as it forms into your mind. It blended well with the madman's very disdain and weary appearance, increasing the fear burning in my head. He had already leaned onto the chair, looking upon the single light-bulb that hung on top. The two guards, whom I had forgotten whilst paying attention towards the man's tale, had already been impatiently nagging for me to pull the lever.
However, every murder of his got more intense, and grew more and more horrible and grotesque. "Stop. Just…stop!" I held my hand to him, as I grasped at the lever. "These acts of yours- they're just horrible.”I remarked, as I prepared to pull it. "Say goodbye to your cruel life." I grinned, with a mix of fear and worry. I then pulled the lever with my utmost strength, and, with a small jolt of electricity, the whole room turned dark, followed by the others throughout the hallway outside.
"Sir! Sir!" A guard nagged me as he took out his flashlight. "What happened?"
"Power outage, I suppose." I replied, scratching my head. "Where is the man?" I asked, taking his flashlight and shining it at the chair. The man was, unbelievably, gone. "Impossible!" The second guard exclaimed. "Just...impossible. How can he get out there in a matter of minutes?" I asked the same thing to myself, as I spun the flashlight, looking at them both. "Take out your weapons, we're playing a game of hide and seek." I went off the door, followed by the two. We went slowly, the slow dripping of the water from the room echoed along the hallway. I slowly tilted my head from left to right, as the melancholic silence drifted, the dripping fading from our ears as we drew farther and farther.
In a small corner, however, a small creak came. I grabbed one of the guard's gun and aimed, making sure there was actually someone there. Sure enough, a silhouette of a man came, and, without further hesitation, I shot at him, my fear taking control of me more than my own sanity. The two looked at me with shock, as he dropped, screaming with anguish. One of the guards ran at him, and, as he came, looked at his right, in his face a horrid look came, as something hit his forehead, zapping him as he screamed with pain, and a gunshot went straight to his chest. He lay on the body of the other one, both stone cold dead.
A cold, wicked breathing came from the jolt and gunshot, as he crept towards us, showing his long-sleeved, stained straight-jacket, and a smile slowly radiated from his bloody face- God knows what he has done. Before he could do anything, I ran for my life, followed by the guard who survived, pushing each other off, and tripping as we ran, and to my bad luck, I left the gun on my pursuit. A gunshot came from behind us, as it went straight through a wall, making a hole as we turned round the corner, placing ourselves into a room, heck we didn't even care where we were.
"...He wouldn't be able to come here, wouldn't he?" The guard asked in between pants and gasps, checking the room. "Shush it, you fool." I whispered back at him. "Give me the flashlight." I took it from him indignantly, flashing it all around the room, when suddenly, I realized, that in the same corner a similar dripping occurred, and in the same location, there was a chair.
We were back in the same place.
I heard a slow creeping from the left, he was drawing near. I motioned the guard and pulled him into the same place with me, but it was too late. The door creaked open, and I could see the shadow of the killer. He let out a chuckle, an insane one indeed, as he came closer. Under my breath I pleaded mercy, whilst I tried to retain a hardy posture, looking at him come closer. I looked at him, as he pulled the guard which I used as a human shield, and threw him on the floor, repeating this step several times, and hitting his forehead onto the corner of the chair, such more gruesome acts I couldn't even describe, and in his final act, threw the body into the puddle, making a bloody mess on the room.
Enough is enough, I thought. I stood up, leaped at his back, before he could even shoot the poor dead body of the man. With fury and rage and loss of my sanity, I strangled him, threw him on the chair, and beat him up more, until he pleaded for me to stop, in which my ears were deaf to. I took the tazer and aimed at his heart, shooting it, watching him painfully endure the moment, and I laughed with all my heart. I knelt down to take the gun which he had dropped on the process, walking out of the room, as I shot him in the head, closing the room.
I proceeded to head out to the hallway, as I can smell a stench of rotten corpses, and there seemed to be blood from where he was. A wicked smile on my face came out. It was odd, and I felt a thrill in how I executed that pretty...well. Thoughts and ways of killing came upon my mind, as my hair stood up in my excitement. I feared I had lost my sanity. Who cared? I was about to continue what this insane fellow had started. And nobody. Nobody would ever know. Know when this would end. Nobody. And nobody would ever know when this would end. |
