What... why? Why do you deserve this? You did nothing wrong as far as you know! The panic is welling up in your throat, as you desperately try to sort out the past three hours. You might as well start with your nation...
I. Greece Greece is a nation which, has done nothing much for the world. Really, they're only half famous for their bad economy way back in 21st century. Now, they are a bustling, nation, filled with art, poetry, and money. They are also amazing athletes, or well, before the RGA collapse in 2657. Three years ago. Still however, they are the best nation in everything. Allies: United States of America, Ireland, Australia, Hylo (Remains of Russia), and Great Britain.
II. United States of America The USA is in its time of grandeur, just like Greece. Economy is on the rise, space technology is a revamp, and the arts are rolling right in. They merely scoff at the troubles they had in the 21st century, they just went straight up from there. Mexico collapsed, Canada collapsed, and all of South America is under water, but US keeps going. It's quite an amazing feat, after all, they were the world's laughing stock. US is tied with Ireland in economics, and is the best nation for the arts. They are the second best nation around these parts, second to Greece. Allies: Ireland, Australia, Hylo, Great Britain, and Greece.
III. Ireland Just like the US, they are also doing quite well. The military is in a coup, but everything else is running smooth. Unlike the 21st century, they now have much more territory. They have Iceland, Italy, and France's territory. Iceland faced an utter economic collapse in 22st century, and Italy fell into a pit when Russia fell to pieces. Finally, France, well, nobody quite knows what happened to France. Allies: United States of America, Australia, Hylo, Great Britain, and Greece.
IV. Australia Australia is facing some tough times, but at least they aren't in the hell-zone called Europe, or well, what's left of it. They have the best army, and the fifth best economy. Crime is slightly on the rise, and there are a few corrupt politicians. However, their land now extends to Japan, Philippines, and the coastal nation India. Japan, like Italy, fell into a pit, when Russia collapsed on itself. They sold themselves out to Australia, and the people who did that sort of act, are now dead. Philippines were pretty much theirs anyway, and it became a quick vassal state to them when the world sort of went out. India, economy collapsed too. Allies: United States of America, Hylo, Great Britain, Greece, and Ireland.
V. Hylo Russia sort of fell into a bad state, and I'll explain why. They swapped back to communist, and their country took it by storm. The stock market fell (everywhere), and caused many nations to fall out. Most of Asia fell to bits, as the army tried to take over the world. The economy was pressed, the nations nearly fell out, and the communist country fell to pieces, and now is divided up into three pieces. Simulaten: Sunken. There was a major global warming effect, and now the top part of Russia is gone under the waves. Hylo: This section is all about it. Velco: Split into bits with five presidential deaths(Courtesy of the US government, may be revealed later why) and again, another economic collapse. Hylo has the worst economic, and literally, no army. The whole place would crack in a few seconds, when given. However, Hylo makes a good resource country, and the economy is slightly on the rise. They can afford you to the program. Allies: United States of America, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and Greece.
VI. Great Brittan Basically as good as the 21st century, still raining however. Allies: United States of America, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, and Greece.
Neutral States (Pickable) I. Israel This nation is on its way out, from pressure by Greece. The economy sucks (notice how I mention that a lot), army is disbanded, public riots, and finally, to complete it off, the top of the nation is sunken. There isn't really much to mention about this. Allies: MES (Middle Eastern States)
II. Middle Eastern States Ranked at six for economy, this nation is all of the Middle East. The whole place is nearly sunk, and what remains of it (now islands), are also on their way out. However, if this nation goes out, then Israel will has a chance for survival, in these tough times. Not much to mention again. Allies: Israel
III. Alaska Formally disbanded from the US, this is an independent nation now. They are ranked fourth for economy, and army is doing just fine. They are on the upscale, and aren't even a bit flooded, thus they are the only nation in the world which isn't at all flooded. They produce ice for the center of the earth, trying to reverse the effects. They are a major nation, despite their size, and the world is slowly coming around to this nation. It is likely to join back up with the US, or become in the alliance soon. In fact, they can even launch their own space segment, unlike MES and Israel.
Global Communist Federation (Non-pickable. FYI, reasons only.) I. Germany Formally known as a collapsed nation, they rank thirteen on the economy scale, the lowest nation on it. They are still with communism, even if they will be ended if they continue. They own what remains of east Europe. They are mostly flooded, and they will end soon. Allies: N/A (This is a federation.)
II. North Africa This is another nation on mental despair, and will be dead by the end of the year. They are launching everything they got to end the space race, before all of Africa floods. Nothing else to mention. Allies: N/A
III. Hawaii The strongest nation out of the GCF, the economy is decent, the army is okayish, and the politicians are horrifying. What did you expect from a disbanded US state? Allies: N/A World Today- North America- Mostly intact. California is mostly sunken, and all of Canada to the right is sunken. This is the only continent which took the least flood damage. Europe- The eastern half is sunk, with a huge river running straight through the center of it, and washing away Paris. It's expected to completely sink in about a century, if global warming doesn't finish the world first. Africa- 90% sunken, expected to sink this year. North Africa is the only place which isn't utterly sunken, but you already knew that.
Australia/Philippines- The whole left side isa sunk. It will probably stay as long as North America, for about three centuries.
Asia- Japan, India, and the western part of Russia are the only things afloat. No, we don't have an answer why that happened. Its believed that there are gravity shifts in that part, and thus, those are the only things still above water. However, we aren't even sure if we're on the right track about this. Expected to sink, we got no clue mate.
Ice Caps- Gone, the only exception is near Alaska, and those are expected to melt soon.
Reason behind it: Yes. We've mentioned global warming, and it wasn't from over-population, smog, or anything at all. Fall-out? Yup. Germany launched a nuke at China, and then everything got out of hand.
Story _______ You can barely think about your nation, before you get slammed against the ground, and hear someone gasp. A guard pulls you up, obviously concerned. "Mate, are you okay? Are you okay? LISTEN ARE YOU OKAY?" He obviously seems concerned about your health, and you are feeling dizzy. You cannot utter a word, before you black out... When you awake, you are in a single room, with a half hearted attempt for causality. The room is all pale yellow, with a red sofa in the back. On the table is a document. Walking over to read it, it merely says... Dear _____; We are proud to say, that you are one of the selected to rule a new nation, for the sake of the world going to heck. US and Greece may be in their time of splendor, but we cannot miss the fact that the world is going down. We have interests in a new planet, from far off. The star in question's name is Zerous, and the planet is Exodus, just the right distance to support life. It's as big as our earth, well, a bit smaller. The well known Greece expedition five years ago, at 2705, as known, provided real results that the animals are almost exactly like ours. It is the dimension theory one of the greats three centuries ago predicted. Discovery of this planet was by luck, a shooting star attracted its attention. The approximate distance is 879,000,543 light years away. The Galactic Traveler will take you there, which was made by Greece and the United States. We have selected nine nations for this journey. You are from one, with people from it. However, we do not trust you with this great technology, so, you will start from the beginning. Why? It's simple, we don't want the world to go into ruins like the last one this quickly. Scientists projected it would live at least 20,000 years. However, nukes disowned it, and caused the world to end. That is all you really need to know right now, and any questions needing to be asked will be answered at the banquet, at seven PM. We have provided some apples to the left of you. Signed; Mac Travish, President of Greece A stunned silence emerges from you. It seems like only yesterday that the report of the flooding stopped, but now the President is actually saying that the world is ending, and you cannot have a bit of technology with you. Sadly, you wish you picked up more knowledge, perhaps that might keep you alive, but then of course, maybe not. A nuke, silly. You wouldn't want to ruin the other world now would you? With that, it's a truthful yes, that if the terms came to it, a nuke would benefit you... Running The Nation: OverView -You will have a similar sheet for running the nation like this: Name Goes Here National: State Side: Economy: Research: Military: Building: Resources: Imports: Exports: - Research Development will go like this: I want to research ______, and I will say how many turns it will take. Simple, and you just need to keep up with that. -Name: Your name of your nation... >National Section National is news which goes around the world, AKA war, discovery, tragedy, that sort of thing. > State Side State Side is something going wrong with your nation, and all that. > Economy Economy is determined by units, and cities. Lowering your research will mean +money, same with espionage and units. Basically, at nothing you are making 100 per turn, and researching one thing is -5, an unit is -1, and espionage is -10. Cities will add to the per turn by 10. Keep track of money per turn, at the end. Example: If you were playing for four turns with doing nothing, you would get 400. > Research When needed, research can unlock new units, and items for you. If you were to research archery, you would learn how to make a bow. If you were to research masonry, you would know how to build the great pyramid, granary, walls, and that. Each research item must be evaluated by me, to get the amount of posts it would take for it. >Military Units are military. You can make one unit, and it would qualify as 100 men (For obvious reasons). The one hundred men are all part of one division. All of those guys are 100% whatever unit you made. Improving your units will need medals. One is earned every battle which they win. However, once they reach 25 medals, it takes two battles, and so-forth. Once you reach 100 medals, there is an added fee of 10$. Then 200 medals for 20 and so forth. You can also build forts, which will add to defense. Read the Improvements section and the Medal Section for more information. >Building Whatever you are building goes here... >Resources What you have access too. >Imports What you are importing, from whoever, for what price. You add this onto economy. >Exports What you are selling, to whoever, for what price. You add this onto the economy. >Health Health works by this.Whenever there is a natural disaster, irrigation, factory, or oil near by health goes down. It can be risen by forests, hospitals, and medics. Health System: When you have -5 health in a city, it falls into collapse and its ruined. When there is something which lowers health, it goes down 1 Health point, and when it goes up, it goes up by 1. Except for the hospital, it goes up 2+
Medals These are the medals available for your units. Units are stronger, Increases every medal. Strength I, Strength II, Strength III, Strength IV, Strength V Units are better against other units. Shock (Melee), Flank (Horseman), Cover (Archer), West (Gunpowder, not unlock-able until gunpowder is researched.), Division (Siege Units), Blitz (Armor Units. Not unlock-able until Basic Tank is researched.) There will be more medals added if someone makes a unit not listed in this. Look out for the announcements mentioning it. City Defensive, units are better at defending. City Defense I, City Defense II, City Defense III City Raze, units are better at attacking units. City Raze I, City Raze II, City Raze III Offensive, units are generally better at attacking. Offensive I, Offensive II, Offensive III, Offensive IV, Blitzkrieg Defensive, units are generally better at defending. Defensive I, Defensive II, Defensive III, Defensive IV, Guerrilla Cross-fire, 1+ Range for paratroopers and Siege. Cross-fire I, Cross-fire II, Crossfire III Marksman, Units have better aim. Marksman 1, Marksman 2 Architect, Units are better defending in forts. Architect Wounded, Units fight better when severely wounded. Wounded Hill Defensive/Offensive, Units fight better on hills. Hill D/O I, Hill D/O II, Hill D/O III Investigator, When tasked with a unit challenge, it gets the job done quicker. Investigator Morality, When under pressure, your units will not give up, unless the odds are pressing. Morale I, Morale II, War Cry, Lowers enemy morale. War Cry I, War Cry II Leadership, There is someone who is a strategic master, and will decrease casualties for your unit. Leadership Smooth Sailing, Higher chance to counter enemy ambushes. Smooth Sailing I, Smooth Sailing II, Smooth Sailing III Rock Hard, More resistant to harsh conditions. Rock Hard I, Rock Hard II, Rock Hard III Medal of Honor, Once you have reached twenty five medals, this medal will be unlocked. Win ten battles to unlock silver, fifty for gold. Bronze (Increases defensive) Silver (Increases defensive and offensive), Gold (Your unit is added two hundred more men free, and you get even stronger offensive and defensive.)
>Resources These are majors. You need to always have your resources at a surplus. Before the surplus this will be your top priority. Once you have enough food and water then you can start letting your civilians stretching out to other jobs. Hunting will be difficult.. the best way to feed your civilization is agriculture. The one mile radius of a farming area would equal to a ten mile radius of a hunting area. Resources like oil, gold, and silver will be found later, as you will need better technology to tell which is which.
Improvements: Improvements are what workers can build to connect cities, mine/drill/cultivate resources, and then make farms and stuff for food. It also ventures into farming which feeds your cities. Farm- A simple farm, used for getting +2 food out from a plot of land. Mine- Mine goods and that.. stuff... +Minable resources Drill- Drill resources from the ground. +Minable resources/Oil Village- A small village outside of a city. +5 Revenue to a city, grows into Town Town- A town outside of a city. +10 Revenue to a city, one time only. Irrigate- Workers work on irrigating a property. +1 Food -1 Health Fortifacations- Name says it all. This can take place in walls, barriers, towers, anything you can think of. Based on what the fortifaction is it will determine how much it prevents attacks. Roads- Connects city, decreases travel time.
Cities Land< A city on land is the simplest. You need a settler, and a good place to put it down. For larger populations, you will need more farms. It gets your more gold, and all that. Nothing really to put. Water< A city on water, can mine water resources. Nothing else special. Space< A floating colony in outer-space, meaning that you can have people in space. No resources, no anything. Really is only a porter's colony for space wars.
>Getting Started When landing on Exodus everyone will be in different places. As explained in recources, first and foremost is food. The next would be shelter and then search for some sort of crop. Once a plot is established you should scout the land (this could be done eariler then when the plot is established) to see the basic outline of your current land. Ontop of aiming for a surplus you will want a small militia of at least six starting out. Mainly melee and a few ranged would be best. Some extras that would be helpful is irrigation for crops, smaller fortifactions (wooden/stone walls, some traps, and spotting wooden towers.), and a few government buildings.
Rules ... I think you know the rules...
Perks Chef- Your cities gain 1+ food Technist- You can automatically research a technology once in a while. War Monger- Your units are slightly better at fighting. Peace- You earn 2$+ per turn.
CS Nation: Leader: Perk: Old Countries' Name: Starting Terrain: Starting Technology (Nothing too advanced.):
Writer's Note: This was a collaboration between ThaCruelLlama and MarkJarkson. Stuff will be added during the RP, as its sort of an evolving thread.
