I don't think there's any since RBX.Lua is proprietary...

Your answer is ROBLOX. |

| Why not just use Roblox? Roblox would be much better than any third-party program because you can instantly test your code, too. |

Notepad++. I type code there then paste it back into ROBLOX.
Windows only though I think.

| Sublime. Better than Notepad++ AND cross platform (Win Linux Mac). |

Sublime Text 2.
The best code editor I've ever seen excluding Vim and Emacs.
Whatever you decide to use, just don't use the studio's code editor. The studio's code editor is just horrible. It doesn't even have automatic indentation. |

Do you have to pay for sublime? I might be looking at the wrong page if not, but where I am, it says you have to purchase a license. NP++ is free and open source.

You can get a free version, which will just remind you that you should probably pay for it once and a while, so you can keep using it forever.
And it is a nice enough piece of work that it's worth paying for anyways in my opinion. |

Oh, so it's "free" but it nags? I'll check it out anyway.
WinRAR comes to mind, it's been a few months and we never got a license. And it still works.

| nags is wrong word, I think it's every few hundred file saves, and if I remember it's just a tiny ok-able notification. |
