Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Article 3: Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. e.g. By saying that you have to pay to be treated this is stopping some critically ill poor people from living. Therefore following the logic of people who are opposed to free health care, being poor makes you sub-human.
(extract from) Article 25:Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including medical care. Same as above
The space for ranting is below.

| That is because a lot of research comes from the states so special methods are in use there first, so if you have a very special disease it requires special care. |

I had a serious chest infection (A possible killer) when I was about 3 , as soon as my parents thought it could be bad we went straight to a GP who the referred me to the local hospital, no waiting, no cost.
And I read news papers and watch the news.

| If you can't afford health care (like most people) then go get the care you paid for with tax, you wait for the non- essentials for a bit; of course they should try to improve services. If you want to push in the line and get the bells and whistles, pay for it yourself. |

Again, you're working with the logic that freedom is superior to life. You cannot enjoy freedom when you're dead or you're struggling, on the other hand, you might not be free but you're still alive, and if you don't like the lack of freedoms, you can break a rule and get executed.
My opinion is that everyone has a right to healthcare, crappy house and crappy food, from which they can work to get luxuries. |

Also notice how countries with Free Health Care have a better economy (Scandinavian countries).
____
While healthcare--as long as it is in fact a public good--does promote economic growth, it should be made clear that Scandinavian nations owe the great majority of their success to a brilliant judiciary and a strong market element (contrary to popular belief). It is interesting to also note that the success of these countries hasn't always been so. Finland, for example, had unemployment of greater than 10% between 1992 and 2000.
