This thread is being used in conjuction with the ROBLOX Uservoice post "A 'Mark as Read' Button For the Inbox".
These are the contents of that post:
"I have read on Uservoice that the return of the 'Delete' button has been declined, and as such, I propose a compromise:
As the owner of a 17,000 member clan, I often receive massive amounts of accidentally duplicated, or intentionally spammed messages.
Seeing as I have to be constantly on the lookout for new messages, simply moving unread messages to the Archive is quite a nuisance, because when that is done, they still appear on your unread message count in the top right corner, and over time, they accumulate to form staggeringly large numbers which make the effectiveness of the counter moot.
The message system is a detrimental part of ROBLOX user communications, and spam messages severely hinder interpersonal socialization on ROBLOX. Having a way to tuck those messages from sight so you can focus on those that are important would be a great improvement.
By marking messages as read, then moving them to your archives, it would make managing ones inbox that much easier, without the need for message deletion, which is what we realize you're trying to avoid."
Posting your thoughts here is highly encouraged, but don't forget to vote on Uservoice as well.
Regards,

'Large groups may be nooby, but usually the leader of a large group is smart. I don't get it.'
it's actually pretty obvious
a smart leader (or smart high ranks, or both) will often have a good recruitment campaign which leads to a large group which attracts the mainstream population of roblox
i don't mean to be rude but in terms of the mainstream population of roblox members are very young and rarely as smart as the leader/high ranks
also YES THIS I DON'T WANT TO READ 41 MESSAGES I ALREADY READ 40 OTHERS |

Oh, my apologies, then, thew.
However, I searched the ROBLOX Uservoice, and there were no Uservoice polls similar to what I hope to accomplish.
In fact, my search returned no results for any 'Mark as Read' polls.
I hoped that by posting on Uservoice, if support became widespread enough, the administrators may look into it, because I believe it is a basic feature that many games have, that ROBLOX currently lacks.

@Ethan
Yes.
All of my unread messages are title-less spam, with nothing to click- not even the '[none]'.

@Rocks
A large group is bound to have a lot of noobish people, even small groups have noobish people but it's less noticeable since they're small. But a large group leader? To get a group large you have to have someone who is smart.
And I support.
All hail Lord Telamon! |
