| I'm planning on making a roleplay about gods that are in a new universe, tasked with shaping a new world. I'm wanting there to be a points system to regulate actions so that things don't turn into ridiculous wars (ex: WELL THIS IS SUPER SAIYAN 23442034870 BEAT THAT). Would someone mind helping me out here? |

| You want to put some limit, like the stronger and more advanced the world gets the more accessibly you have. |

| I was thinking that everyone would start out with a certain amount of points. Every week at a certain time, they would be given more points (up to a certain maximum) based on their divine rank (ex: Fledgeling deity, lesser deity, intermediate deity, greater deity, highest deity). |

Yes, that sounds nice.
Speaking of, should we work on how the divine ranking would work now or save it for later?
Better yet, do we even keep doing it here? |

There should also be a way to progress up the ranks? Maybe it would just be decided by mods.
FLEDGELING DEITY LESSER DEITY INTERMEDIATE DEITY GREATER DEITY HIGHEST DEITY
(and then it goes up into sidereal territory) |

If you'd like to pitch ideas, please do :/
Maybe the points per rank should go something like:
RANK MAX POINTS POINTS PER WEEK Fledgeling 16 4 Lesser 18 5 Intermediate 20 6 Greater 22 8 Highest 24 10 |

Yes, good idea.
Also, may I suggest the deities be in control of one(or two for higher ones) elements? |

@SP Maybe not elements, since that's not big enough. Maybe they should represent actual concepts and things that are part of the universe (love, hate, war, life, death, healing, society, travel, electricity, fire, steel) |

@Lord
That's what I meant. I couldn't think of a term to describe them. 'Concepts' would probably have been better. |

underpinning laws of reality was too long:P
There could be a limit of concepts per rank, and to gain a certain rank you would need a certain amount of concepts? |

Perhaps. The lowest rank would obviously only have one of them.
(Also adding Time to that list because it's Time.) |

Alright, so:
CONCEPTS Each deity represents a certain number of concepts. These concepts are the underpinning laws of reality, the primeval elements on which the universe runs. Deities are allowed to select two concepts to represent upon their birth, and must gain two more to ascend to the next rank.
(also "Conception" could be the name of the thread?) |

i'd be making deities of time, matter and energy so that the other players have pillars to work on
Also, you cannot have the same concept as another deity. |

(Yes. But make sure to say it has no relation to inception.)
Yes, I guess two is good. I guess a fancy name for each would be "Deity of X and Y", where X and Y are variables of sorts. |

Anything else we should take note of? |

| And you'd have to spend a certain amount of points on the next Concept you're wanting to take on (if I wanted a character to take on the Concept of Knowledge, he'd have to spend points on knowledge-related things. He create a new demiplane built entirely around recording the events of the universe, and make a race of crystalline automatons for upkeep and stuff). |

Of course, that is fully acceptable.
I think we're getting somewhere with this. |

A player could make free or discounted actions based on their Concepts, based on the opinion of a mod. It would cost points to gain a Concept.
What actions could you take with points? |
