If you know me well, you will know that I have an infatuation with death and the afterlife. More obviously, I have a fondness for torture; psychical or psychological and murder. This includes a variety of different things, probably all the ways you could possibly ever wrong a human being or animal. My friends claim that I will probably grow up to be a murderer. Fortunately the guilt and rules of society keep me from doing so. That means it's time to do something fun with immoral urges. :D
Requesting something along the lines of death. Perhaps the plane between existence and the 'Passing of Souls.' In order to get to your designated area you are put through 'Trials.' Although, I'd like to think of it as just happenings with the world around you. If good deeds follow your path, heaven shall bring you forth. If bad deeds follow your path, hell shall ascend and bring you down. Although, if neither choice is fulfilled, you simply stay in the plane forever to continuously wander your unnecessary existence.
What do you guys think?
I'm also looking for suggestions of trials. Or anything other to help decide. They should be...symbolic in a way.
Basically: Survival horror. :D? |

How so?
Perhaps it's just me and my fascination of crimes.
Although, with a bit of The Walking Dead-esque choices, I can see it going well.

It seems a bit too simple.
If there were a few goal like things..
Like, at the end, if you answered too many questions bad, you can either goto hell you save your wife/husband, or goto heaven and have them die. |

So...
I don't really think you got the opening then, did you?
I was aiming for those sort of hard-hitting options, although, yours is much too obvious. There's no punishment for saving your husband or daughter in an RP, none at all. The only reason one would go to heaven is to defy the mainstream 'good' choice. Besides, death is permanent, messing with it is a bit silly.
The above mentioned trials. I believe doing shows a lot more than asking. You can lie when asked, although you can only do so much cheating when doing. Perhaps I can set this up so the characters are unaware of their death, making them think they don't have to prove to anyone. Hm? |

Well, I'm glad you think so.
It seems I won't be getting any really tough options. Such as a little girl is sick, do you kill her for food or do you simply let her die while you looks for medicine? Actually, perhaps that options too obvious.
Or really, letting someone die a slow death is rather bad.
Hm |

Except there would.. Its a trick question.. IF you let your wife die to goto heaven, you chose a bad option and goto hell, but for saving her, you goto heaven. |

Yes, but it's still OBVIOUS.
Letting someone die is always going to be a bad thing. The thing is, no matter trick questions or anything like that, the option is essentially the plot to a really cheesy movie starring Nicholas Cage.
I'm really looking for decisions that won't automatically send you anyway. If they did, there's no point in doing anything before. All your choices are for nothing, simply because you did one thing for yourself. Death does not play those games, he makes you suffer for you actions progressively until you can only kneel before him.
Besides, as I mentioned before, the questions your stating are essentially the same as the one I'm putting out. Only they happen to be more obvious choices. |

| Maybe not all of the choices should be based on someone should die or not. |

Giraffe.. your ignorance is going to make me mad..
It could be a FALSE person, NOT REAL. Or, it could be a trick question, OR, you could make a deal with someone. OR you can get an item you found traveling in the game to use it. OR, YOU COULD JUST NOT MAKE IT CLICHE?
It's not the questions that are cliche, its the plot. It gives you less options to choose from if you are given an obvious situation.. Its hard to give difficult options to a simple situation. |

@Sox
Yes, wasn't planning to. :D
It's just that death comes to mind when I think of it. I have a hard time thinking of acts that can decide morality that don't involve death, simply because to us humans death is the most immoral thing you can bring upon someone.
So if you;d like to offer some hearty non-death related shenanigan I'd love to hear it. :D |

@Bright
My ignorance has nothing to do with it.
it's certainly not the plot that's too simple, if anything, if I tried to make it more complex there wouldn't BE any room for options. That;s the thing, if you clutter up an RP with 'OMG ORIGINALITY' and different things to try and make a complex story you TAKE PEOPLE OUT.
You're telling me to not make it cliche. Your questions cannot be made un-cliche. If I were to do it, I would have to remake the whole thing over again. You're giving me the same suggestion and expecting me to just accept it willy nilly. Then you complain that I don't understand what you're getting at. I already explained to you that there would be more options than one, that what I was suggesting was basically the same thing, yet you keep ignoring me.
I'm sorry, but I honestly feel that you are the one who doesn't understand this. |

When did I say you didn't understand? I;m out, you never even CONSIDER my opinions. You just yell at me like If you don't accept them you think I will eat your eyes out. |

The way you put it into words I can see your struggling to make me understand.
And I did consider your option. I took the time to tell you why I thought it would be a bad move. Obviously if I explained it, it means I took the time to think about it.
I don't understand why you think I'm yelling at you. If we were talking in real life I certainly wouldn't be.
Just please take into your mind that I did not mean any offence and I simply just don;t like the idea of a final, sets the deal question. |

Its just that, some questions can be a bit obvious, only because if you pop in an obvious question (after several non-obvious.) They will choose the obvious answer thinking its not obvious at all..
IT'S A TRAP! |

Ah, although you see the one you gave was just too obvious to deny. Besides, how would they know it's non-obvious if they don't know their choices are affecting them at all?
I said before this would be in an environment where the characters were unaware of their deaths. Therefore, they don't know/don't care what they're doing. |

No, it won't, frankly I've done enough of those.
Essentially, you wake up in a barren city with others. Through out the course of the RP you'll find people, objects, and other things that affect your moral system. Even the weather possibly could. Language and attitude can also affect which way you pass.
As it goes on more characters will start to realize the small amounts of food, water, etc. This will possibly get them grumpy. The pressure to survive naturally takes upon them and sooner or later, as natural humans, we start considering things we never would in an average situation.
You see, any more complication and I wouldn't have room to do so many things. |

What happens when somebody chooses the wrong plank? How does it affect their moral system? |
