NOTE: I am looking for any developers with c++ and/without sfml experience. Positions needed: • Physics Developer(will create the objects that move or cause stuff to move) • Game Developer(will work on game initialization and different game features such as the map controller, gui controls, etc) • Network Developer(will manage the online packet sending/receiving) • AI Developer(will manage anything in the game that has to do its own thinking such as drones)
======================GAME==IDEA============================
Type: Platform 2D ONLINE Server: Public - Users can host their own servers
The point of the game is a 2D Base War game... There will be two bases. Players will be able to dig underground and place blocks such as teleporters, mines, drones, etc....
The game will have unlockable features throughout the matches such as perks, air drops, etc....
Perks will be time based abilities that can fall from killed enemies.
This game will be(if any good) sold on an indie game site for anywhere between 0.99-4.99$ and all money will be deposited into an account and split among all developers. In the meantime I want the game to be developed as a fun project.
We will use some sort of repository for code sharing on the project. Microsoft Visual Studio C++ will be used in the making of this game.

If you have any requested ideas feel free to post them as well. This is really just a hobby project, but if we complete a good, fair game we may sell it/give it out free and see what people have to say about it. All people who work on it will get an even cut of profit if it ever comes down to selling it. This is also a good project to take part in if you are interested in adding something to your college application one day. |

Yeah well I'm converting an original Xbox into a laptop how cool is that compared to your little base wars game.
Surely you could do this on Roblox... But I can't do anything except console stuff with C++ so I wouldn't even think of using it. |

| I got bored... I am thinking a game would be a funner project. Especially since the book I was reading(Windows Programming) over explains things and that made me bored and the simple fact that the company didn't send the follow along disk with it and some of the code in the book is massive. |

| I was gonna create my own gui engine but i'm just using SFML gui components. I so far have completed the Splash Screen image and what not :) With a flashing "Press any key to continue" |

I did it in java- much easier lol :)

I just made the main menu and the different options to select. > Connect > Options > Stats > EXIT
I will try to get the basics of this down so that when everyone joins its relatively easy for them to start working. |

| Nonono, first make the actual engine and then worry about the GUIs and other fluff. Anyone can make a GUI; what you need to work on first is the engine, the actual game, because nobody is going to do anything unless you have some sort of foundation. |

| Well I rather have the way the game starts before the way the game is played. That way its easier to edit the intro. |
