*Story *Gameplay *Graphics
All are important but which is the most important? I asked something similar to this last night on OT, if anyone remembers.
Anyways, in my opinion, it's Gameplay, Story, then Graphics (If the gameplay is fun, that's what matters most. A story is good for grabbing a gamer's attention and getting them interested/addicted to a game, and graphics are what attract people to buying a game and what make people feel like they are in a whole seperate gaming world) |

Gameplay.
If it was story, it's basically a movie.
Better graphics does not mean a better game. P,aging a game for the graphics is like reading a book for the pictures. |

Gameplay.
Story hardly exists in many great games(i.e. Mario Party), and Graphics hardly make a difference. Sonic 06 had amazing graphics, but gameplay was meh from what I've seen.

Uh, gameplay. Probably the most important part of a game, wouldn't want to screw that up.

@Danny I totally agree with your post, but I'll add on that the movie-like aspect in the Story part is what attracts/addicts people to a game. You know, like an interactable movie. |

| Gameplay, but story is a really close second. Graphics is the third. |

| Eh, gameplay is the most important, but story and graphics are still awesome. What many people don't realize is that gameplay isn't ONLY what makes a videogame. Sure, there are plenty of awesome games that have no story and crappy graphics, but what if there was a game with that same awesome gamplay but with an amazing story and graphics? Would you like the first one just because gameplays the most important? Or would you choose the second one because it has a masterful blend? Eh, just a little pet peeve of mine. Even while people only focus on graphics, its just as much of a sin to focus only on the gamplay. |

| Gameplay is key and story is important. I don't care too much about graphics so long as it's not cube world or an earthen mess of brown, green, and grey. |

In order from most important to least:
Gameplay Story Graphics
I'm do love a game with nice graphics, though. |

@offtoipcpls Couldn't have said it better. I use my two examples, Skyrim and Zelda.
Skyrim has a nice story, great graphics, and awesome gameplay
Zelda games have awesome stories, last-generation graphics(sadly), and still really good gameplay. |

"Skyrim has a nice story"
Really? I thought Skyrim's story as bland and predictable. A dragon kills everyone about to die anyway, but you. Then for the rest of the game, you spend your time hunting for it. |

@Super It had a nice story, not outstanding. Like I said, I prefer a Zelda story to the one of Skyrim. @7prind That's not what I mean. I mean the way you play the game (killing enemies, functional screens, walking and running around areas in general, etc) |

| I love skyrims story, in a different way from convential story. I don't like the overarching story much, its just the shear amount of stories and plots that they managed to weave together in each city with all of the sidequests and dialouge. They literally made their own second universe. |

| All of them are at the same level for me, except graphics I can give a bit of leeway / sacrifice. |

GAMEPLAY.
A great gameplay makes a great game.
Ask VVVVVV. 8-bit graphics, but I don't care. |

Gameplay.
Remember all those classic arcade games? No story, pathetic graphics, just memorable gameplay. |

well, it depends on the game.
for example, Gran Turismo 5 is a racing SIMULATOR and so graphics would be top priority |
