Intro: ___________________________________________________________________________ Yeah... I had to many another one. I noticed the other was not getting the views and replies it could have, and I think that was due to my failure of a title giving out the wrong ideas. In the last one" GCT was Game Creation Team. Just some info. Anyways; on with the post! ___________________________________________________________________________ Actual thread and such below. ___________________________________________________________________________ Where did I get the idea?
Honestly, I was inspired by Gusmanak's "Apocalypse Rising" to create this. I mean, seriously, that is the best game of the genre that I have ever played. But I want to make my own that creates a more... "Real" situation for it's occurrence. Weapons varying from Pipes, Boards, and Chains, to Firearms, Swords and Explosives. Food items will very from Wild Carrot, to Steaks and oven-baked Pizzas Drinks will vary from muddy water to Soda. There will ~>Not<~ be regening items of Food, Drink, Ammo and Weapons; unlike AR. There will be a limited supply of pre-made food items, requiring one to look for more, and to learn how to make their own food, which will use realistic processes.
All in all; I am trying to "Recreate" a real-world Zombie Apocalypse into a game set in a small town for your, and my, enjoyment and preparation. ___________________________________________________________________________ How did the infection start?
A parasite that takes over the motor skills of a target; and primarily inhabits the Mouth. (Plaque-generating bacteria mutation, possibly?) Said parasite has a 8-Month "Incubation" period, in which it does not take over anything.(Some parasites/Viruses have 12 YEAR incubation periods, just fyi.) Said parasite would be spread by such things as sharing food with ones kids, or being bitten by an infected Cat or Dog or some other animal. Surely, a parasite that is almost undetectable without regular checkups to a local Dentist, Orthodontist or Doctor. And with that 8-month incubation period, quite a few people would be infected before they even knew it existed. And since it inhabits the mouth; guess how it spreads after taking over the motor skills. It bites! ___________________________________________________________________________ What will be something that separates this from other games?
What will set this apart from many other Zombie Apocalypse games, is things such as "Electricity" and "Plumbing". Those 2 things will work up until the game is 5 hours old. Afterwards, Electricity and Plumbing with completely stop. That means: No working Stoves, Microwaves, Gas stations or sliding doors. It also means: Water-related activities like waterslides, Waterparks, and etc. also stop functioning. This game will be set in a small town, based somewhat off my own area of residence. Depending on where one spawns, you will have a different starter item, melee starters doing 2 Dmg, and ranged starters doing 1 Dmg, unless you get lucky and spawn in special areas like a Gun shop. (Lucky, because there will only be 1 gun shop out of 100 or so spawns.) Players who spawn in a gun shop will spawn with absolute zilch. But your surrounded by armaments. If you can't find something there, then I don't know what to say.
There will also be Weather and risks such as Fire. Every so often a storm will kick up or something, and a building will also run a risk of Fire. Even player made structures will run that risk of fire. ___________________________________________________________________________ What? You want some basic things that will be able to be made in-game? Alright, then... Here you go.
Pop-tab Chain mail! HP + 15. Pop-tab X 4 = Pop-tab Sheet. P-t Sheet X 6 = Pop-tab Chainmail.
Improvised spear! Melee & Range. 12 Dmg. Mop(Or broom)-> Action [Break sweeper] = Handle Handle -> Action [Twist Tip] = Improvised Spear. Beware, you only have 1 shot with this if you throw it. You will NOT get it back after throwing it. ___________________________________________________________________________ Oh oh oh oh~! Perks! 1: Survivalist: 20% Increase it stat recovery for Food, 20% Less chance of being infected from infected water. 2: Urban Samurai: 20% Dmg Increase with Asian bladed melee weapons. 3: Urban Swordsman: 20% Dmg Increase with European bladed melee weapons. 4: Marksman: 10% Dmg increase with ANY ranged weapon 5: Assassin: 20% Dmg increase with Rifle 6: Sniper: 50% More accuracy with Rifles ___________________________________________________________________________ Zombies can infect the water?! Yes. Yes they can. Once this is finished, Zombies will infect the water. Infected water was described above. If a Zombie is near the water for 1 second, the water is infected for 20. 2 seconds, 40. 3, 60. You get the picture. If a Zombie dies in the water, the water is instantly infected for 20 minutes. ___________________________________________________________________________ How do I get Perks?! Perks will not be unlocked easily. At first, I wanted to make the game follow a 15-hour time schedule before it rebooted, but I changed my mind. You was going to unlock all perks at one time simply by playing 15 hours. Now, you will unlock a perk like Achievements. I'll tell you how to get the ones above. Numbers are the same as above. 1: Survive an infection encounter. 2: Kill 20 Zombies with an Asian bladed melee weapon. 3: Same as Samurai, but with European bladed melee weapon. 4: Kill 20 zombies from 50 studs away with any weapon 5: Kill 20 Zombies from any distance with a Rifle-type weapon. ^ There are only 5 types of ranged weapons: 5a: Rifle 5b: Handgun 5c: Explosive 5d: Strung 5e: Thrown 6: Kill a Zombie from 200 Studs away with a Rifle ___________________________________________________________________________ Credits?! You didn't make this alone?! (Boo! You fail!) Of course I didn't make this alone. If I wanted to make this alone, with 0% outside influence... I'd never start it, or have even came up with the idea. (Buildings are REQUIRED to be low-brick, Plastic-material and small-town themed. I don't want Sky-scrapers.) Idealists: Self explanatory. You come up with ideas... Lol.

"Protip" to the game; Store up on materials early on. Weapons are secondary to food and drink. Some people can easily be bought off with food and drink or ammo. Your also better of going for the non-perishables and easy-preparation ones, rather than ones that will require cooking or some other form of preparation.

Explanation on Survivalist Perk's earning; Works like this. When you drink water for the first time -ever- in game, from a contaminated source, you have an 80% chance of being infected. If you get lucky and hit that 20% of not, then you automatically get the badge. For the rest of you, it's a long battle ahead. Once infected, you lose 5 health every 3 seconds, for 120 seconds. (You suffer 200Dmg over the course of 2 minutes) If your health hits 0, then you get infected, die, and then you turn into a Zombie. If you survive, then you get the badge. Now; how will you survive? There will be various things around the map to boost HP. Food will do anywhere from a 3HP to 8HP boost. Medical supplies(Medical Kits, Surgical Equipment, Et c.) will boost HP from 50 to 85%.

New perks to be added!
1: Western Duelist; +20% Damage with Handguns 2: Smith; +50% Durability with self-Forged weapons 3: Carpenter; +100% Materials from woodworking (Planks, Logs, Etc.)
How to earn!: 1: Kill 20 Zombies with handguns 2: Forge 5 weapons 3: Create 20 Planks

And another! The "Wubby" perk. This is a perk in dedication to a close friend of mine, using one of his creations "Wubby the Whale" for the image.
This perk will be attainable by touching a badge that will randomly spawn in some hard to reach area. It will give the perkee +300 Health.

Took me 3 tries to get it. Fist I had "Zombie Invasion", thought that was bad; then "Undead Invasion", still sounded too weird, so "Undead Encroachment". Same meaning, but it sounds fancier. Lol.

Lol. Helpful, isn't it? Also, Idk why, but I think that gun causes the game to crash if you die after equipping it. I'll be removing it later to replace it with different ones.

Another removal: Graphic Designers. Got enough of those too. Credit replace; Davidii to ROBLOX. I am no longer using Davidii's guns as a base, but instead using ROBLOX-admin-made weapons.
