This is an ISRP, and I will allow 3 people so I'm not overwhelmed by the amount of people.
The Forests of Haganond were once peaceful, but years of neglect and no one being there, they turned into what they are today. Dreary, dark, spooky, and filled with monsters of all kinds. No one has been there for many centuries, and it is said once you go in, you never come out.
Few treasurehunters have ever tried to combat the wild, and try to survive in the forest. All of them never came back, yet the tales of treasure in the forest is in everyone's past. Everyone wishes they had the courage to adventure in. Do you?
~Places~
The forest:
A damp, dark, place filled with creepy crawlies, and other nasty suprises. There may also be hidden trasure, and traps hidden amongst the undergrowth. The trees are dark-barked, and have twisted roots and branches, giving them a sinister look. There may sometimes be a path, that twists off, and eventually vanishes, sometimes leading to good more often bad.
Temples:
There are temples scattered throughout the landscape. These temples are heavily guarded by monsters and traps, and there are useful treasures inside.
Caves:
The caves hidden in the hills, and by the mountain region are usually no more than a simple cave. The caves rarely go down deep below the Earth's surface, and sometimes lead to ruins, or an old mining outpost.
~Monsters~
Common Monsters:
Goblin: Small impish creatures, that stand at 2-3 feet tall. They are skilled wth shortswords, and bows, and often wear crude weak armor. They have a very cowardly nature, and are know to travel in large groups, or flee from fights when they are in danger.
Greater Goblin: The leader of a group of goblins or a highly respected goblin. They tend to be larger in size, some standing at almost 5 feet. They deliver stronger blows then regular goblins, and some are able to use regular swords and longbows.
Zombie: An animated corpse, that wanders around looking for flesh, their favorite food. They don't actually need to eat, but being trapped in their body, they just believe they are still alive. They are very slow, are dim-witted, but have very strong attacks. They can be damaged and killed the same way as any regular monster.
Wraith: A dark, evil spirit, that wonders around graveyards, towns, and other dark places, looking for the one who put them in this form. They are passive unless disturbed in their main hiding spot, or what they now think of as their home. They have long sharp claws on their hands and feet, and can only be damaged by light, fire, or a magical artifact.
Wight: A conjured monster, with the soul of a person trapped in it. They are very hostile, and angry with the living. They are a lot like zombies, with the fact that they are slow, stupid, but very strong. They can be killed quickly with silver objects, but can be damaged with anything.
Uncommon Monsters:
Troll: A large creature, standing from 7-8 feet tall. They have disfigured, grotesque faces, and are covered in wrinkly pale yellow skin. They carry long, heavy, wooden clubs, and can deliver powerful attacks with them.
Hadrask Lizards: Large reptiles, depending on variety can range from 3 to feet in length. Some varieties have a strongly acidic saliva and a few varieties of those can spit it at a considerable distance.
Giant spiders: Large, hairy, spiders that can make thick webs, and trap their prey. They have highly posionous vemon, that can cause damage, unconsciousness, and sometimes death if you don't have the antidote.
Black dogs: Huge dogs, roughly the size of a calf, covered in thick, shaggy black hair and with glowing red eyes. Despite their name, these creatures are not necessarily black, as there have been reports of them being white, spotted, yellow and even brown. Sometimes, though very rarely, there are reports of Cerberean Black Dogs – meaning they have two or three heads. Black Dogs are also associated with fire – specifically, the flames surrounding the hound and the presence of scorched earth and/or claw marks burned into wood or metal left in the beast’s wake.
Rare Monsters:
Gargoyle: Found in the rare temples, and ther structures scattered around the forest. Most have long, spindly wings, and a rock-like hide. They have long claws on their front paws, and have spikes on their tail. Gargoyles are vicious fighters, using their slight advantage with their hide to their advantage. The best way to kill one is to attack it's weak spots on its chest, and in the folds of their wings.
Wyvern: The Wyvern has the head of a dragon, and its forked tongue, scaly neck and leathery wings, but combines with these the two clawed feet of an eagle (whereas the dragon has four), and a long, serpentine tail which is often depicted as knotted, or twined upon itself, to indicate the extreme venomousness and violent temper of the monster. Wyverns are often found guarding the treasures of temples, and sometimes in caves sleeping. They are incredibly difficult to kill, and their weak spot is on their chest.
Hydra: The Hydra has the body of a dragon/snake with many heads (possibly 7, 8 or 9), two arms & legs with knife-like claws, sharp spines/spikes & a long serpent tail. Their heads easily grow back, often one being chopped off being replaced with two. The Hydra's guard the temples and caves with the best treasure, keeping everything out of them, but the weakest of monsters. The only way to kill one is to stab/shoot at it's exposed chest, and hope for a fatal hit.
~Races~
Human: The simplest of the races, but also the most varied. Some Humans are strong and large, making them excellent warriors, some are thinkers, and some are very nimble. The upsides for being a Human is the veratility of the race, and the ability to think on your feet. The downsides are the need to eat atleast once a day, drink twice, and sleep atleast once.
Elf: The Elves are the most intelligent of all the races. Most Elves have received training in magic since they were little, and some since they could talk. All Elves know atleast basic magic, and come are even starting into moderate, or advanced. The upsides of being an Elf are, the high intelligence level, they are very nimble, and don't need as much water. The downsides are the inability to use swords, axes, maces, and other fighting weapons. They also are vegetarian.
Dwarf: The Dwarves are the sturdiest of all the races, and can travel for miles without being tired. They have a tendency to stick to low altitude places, and enjoy being in caves, and underground temples. The upsides for being a Dwarf, is the high endurance, ability to see in the dark, and Dwarves make excellent warriors. The downsides are the fear of heights, inability to use magic, and inability to use a bow.
Halfling: The Halflings are the stealthiest of all the races, and can easily hide in tight spaces. They make excellent rogues, due to their stealthiness. Halflings also make excellent trackers, and will get extra advice on the paths they may take. The upsides of being a Halfling are, the high stealthiness, the small size, and their skill with daggers. The downsides are their inability to use larger weapons, and the need to eat twice a day.
~Classes~
Warrior: The warrior class is made up of strong and sturdy people. They always have good experience with sword, mace, or axe fighting, and like to wear heavy armor. The perks of being a warrior are, the strong defense and attack rate.
Mage: The mage class is made up of intelligent and resourceful people. They always know basic magic, and wear robes so they can use all of their potential. The perks of a mage are, the strong damage, the ability to target more then one at a time, and the long range.
Rogue: The rogue class is made up of stealthy and nimble people. They always are atleast moderately stealthy, and have experience with daggers. The perks of a rogue are, the ability to always get first attack on a monster (unless the monster sneaks up on you), and to easily escape from fights.
Ranger: The ranger class is made up of quick and steady-handed people. They always have experience with bows, and most are good trackers. The perks of a ranger are, the long range, and the ability to hunt in the forest.

((He doesn't have any family left. Should've added that to the bio.))
I set forth to the edge of the forest. I was told that there was treasure in that forest, and I needed any coin I could get. As I arrived, an eerie atmosphere strikes me. This forest seemed creepy, even during the day. I firmly grasped my dagger, and slowly ventured into the forest. |

The forest seems to be drawing you towards the west, beckoning you towards something.
