First thing's first, choose 7 skills. As a bard, you need to choose at least one perform skill.
You also know four cantrips, which you can cast as much as you please. The cantrips you know are: Summon instrument, detect magic, prestidigitation (which creates minor special effects such as playing soft music or creating magical illustrations in the air as you tell a bardic tale), and light.
You also know two 1st level spells, which are Cure Light Wounds, and Vanish. You can cast two 1st level spells a day, in any combination. |

((It would be Craft: Alchemy, which doesn't let you make actual potions. But you did remind me that you need a feat, which can be Brew Potion. That let's you imbue spells you know into potions.))
As you're playing in the local inn, you hear about a nearby dungeon that's been uncovered recently. Broke, you decide it may be a good idea to try your hand at adventuring.
Also, I forgot to tell you that you can inspire people while playing your music to make them better in combat. You can do this as much as you like. |

((Okay, I'll do that))
I would like to decide to join the best nearby party with good motives that decide to go on the expedition to the dungeon as a support. |

| The Inn is home to several adventurers. Some of the fellows in the Inn who might be interested are: A group of robed figures drinking and chatting together, two dwarves in heavy armour having a drinking competition, and several shady figures having a game of cards. |

| I would like to join the group of robed figures drinking and chatting together, but only if none of them are drunk. If some of them are, I would rather be with the several shady figures, as long as their motives are that they are acting as a group together. |

| How drunk? They're drinking wine coolers, but they seem to be thinking rather clearly. |

| "Ah, hello there. I listenin' around and it appears that theres a new dungeon discovered. I was looking around for a capable group to join to go on an expedition there, and you guys seemed to match the bill. So do you guys happen to be going? And not mind bringing along a support?" Xavier said while sitting down at the table |

| One of them raises an eyebrow. "Us? Only one among us can even use a weapon, the rest of us may be wizards, but we're mere amateurs." |

"Well, you have my blade. I could use the gold." One of them shrugs. Two others agree to go as well, but the last bows out. "I'm afraid I don't have the stomache for this kind of work." "Well, all right. I'm Janus the Magus, these two are Elric and Roland, wizards by trade." |

| So, you and your party venture forth to the tomb. A small light appears in Janus's hand as he draws his blade, a small scythe type-weapon, and takes point. Roland and Elric folloiw behind you, Roland summoning a light of his own from the back of the party. You venture forth until you reach a small room, about 10 feet by 10 feet big. Along the walls are dozens of standing stone coffins. |

"Seems to be some kind of catacombs... What do you think there is to do here? I don't like the looks of those coffins, but I'm sure it's just it's just harmless decor... Anyone have any idea what we should do?" Xavier said, summoning his Lute to him

((Yeah, you have a rapier)) Pointing at one of the coffins, Elric shouts an arcane word. The coffin swings open, revealing a skeletal figure, laid to rest with a waraxe, probably a family hierloom. "That looks valuable" Roland says as he draws near the open coffin. Reaching for the axe, the skeleton leaps at him as all the other coffin doors drop to the ground, revealing more skeletal warriors. You have the initiative. |

| ((Just a quick question before leaping into battle; what would playing music do right now? Sort of act as a buff to the other party members? Also, can I attack with my rapier while I play music? I sortof thinking that the bard skill is more like a spell that plays music as a background mental activity to the bard while he is free to attack... Though your call of course, I'm just drawing most of my bard stuff off other games and such like Ragnorak)) |

((Sweeeet))
Xavier backs off from the group of skeletons and summons his lute to him. He instantly begins playing a battle song to help buff the rest of the group so they can combat better. Though he continues to keep a watchful eye out for skeletons around him, keeping his rapier at his side, ready to draw and strike if a skeleton gets too close. |

| Your music inspires them! Only one of the wizards runs away screaming! Roland runs off as Janus decapitates a skeleton, and Elric summons a cone of fire that engulfs a half dozen of them. However, when the smoke clears, the fire did little to the skeletons as they attack. Two of them claw at Janus, only one of them bypassing his magical barrier. Three surround Elric, but he ducks and dodges out of the way of two, only getting hit once. Two of them flank you, both of them clawing you with thier boney, claw-like hands. You're quite hurt, bleeding rather badly. |

I stop playing and desummon my lute. I pull out my rapier quickly and slash directly at the neck of one of the skeletons on my flank, then rush off and use my heal magic on myself, and go to Elric and use my heal magic on him too.
(I believe those are my light spells for the day. Also, what is the diff between the heal SPELL and heal SKILL?) |

((Heal spell magically heals HP instantly. Heal skill is like first aid))
Janus retreats backwards, covering your flank as he slashes at another skeleton, and Elric tries another burning hands spell, this time dropping all caught in it's path. However, as half a dozen are slain, there are still another seven or eight left. You heal yourself back up to fine condition as you notice on of the coffins is still closed. |
