| Well you bought the game you've been dying to play since forever, and you got the CD with all its content on it, but we'll just have to make you download our client called "Steam" and then your force to install the game via internet even though the contents on its disc |

Gaben's exercise routine is what keeps the Steam servers running
You should be happy he doesn't stop for a Twinkie and make your download take years |

| My problem is that the game's content is on the disc, why can't I just install it that way and just download any updates through my internet? |

| If you bought the game on a disc then I'm pretty sure you don't have to download steam? Unless you bought the game from Steam? |

"I have Dawn of War II on disc and even the installer is like "Oh how about you get Steam""
so it's not 'you must get Steam'
more like 'why don't you try Steam' |

"9 hours to get tf2"
tf2>all games out there for me
if it took you 9 hrs to download tf2, your computer shouldnt be installing it, cause its a dinosaur.
in most cases tf2 takes 3 hours, so it takes you about 2-3 hours to go buy a game, and when you buy it your mom probably wants to go shopping or something too, so yeah.
downloading games without having to buy it irl is worth the convenience |

| to be honest, Steam doesn't take that long for me, and that's for a 4-8 mbps connection shared between 6 devices |
