Choice.....is it really necessary? What would happen if from the day you were born everything was decided for you? You wouldn't question it because it was decided you wouldn't. But in this world there is choice and that choice was the downfall of us all.
Immortality. Who doesn't want to live forever? Apparently a few scientist types don't because they would get bored of the world. But their superiors tossed their opinions to the wind and forced them to work on a formula to bring the dead back to life. Of course everyone in that room has seen zombie movies but you wouldn't risk your job on some made up horror genre right? So the scientists got to work. The results were a success! They brought a dog who was killed in an accident back to life without any symptoms of what was it P-Virus.....W-Virus? Who cares it worked! They tested it on multple animals and now it was time for a human. Everything went as planned and the recently dead person was overjoyed to see the realm of the living again and simply went home to enjoy life to the fullest.
4 - Months later.
A few rushed reporters scramble about your T.V. screen. A young blonde woman is handed a crumpled stack of papers and quickly fixes her hair and looks at the camera.
"Good evening and welcome to the 9 o' clock news" She lets out a sigh and then continues
"Tonight 4 months after the Immortality projects success the test subject a mister Sebastian Breisch complained about a skin rash and soon enough his flesh started to peel off. Within a few hours this man bit his entire family and they all seemed to suffer the same effects. Now our......oh god..." The reporter starts to tear up "We've just been informed the infected are breaking into the studio and we will have to cut the broadcast short.....
God bless you all"
I want to try a different type of Roleplay where your choices actually matter not just where you get your slurpie for the day. When interacting with characters they will ask questions and they will remember what you say and how you answer. They may even use this information against you and other characters. Eventually the whole group or a singled out character will be forced to make a hard choice, and this choice may change the direction of the roleplay entirely.
An example
The farmer who found you is asking a few questions about you while patching up your wounds.
"Hey...mind tellin me your name stranger?"
"I don't plan on staying long no need to get acquainted" - He will remember that < I will put these on choices that the character will remember.
A hard choice example.
You are low on ammo and your group of 5 is about to be surrounded and killed by the infected. You can save 2 others including yourself by giving them ammo to defend themselves. The choice is yours.
No matter what you do two people in the group are going to die, I'm doing this to keep the roleplay away from that every man must survive type of deal.
Character Sheet:
Na.me:
A.ge:
Gender:
Appearance:
Advantages: (skills or whatever at most 2)
Weaknesses: (At least 2 at most 3)
Other: (Forget anything?)
Rules:
1. No godmodding (These are zombies not puppies you cannot kill 5 of them in one swing of your rainbowblasterx7 katana)
2. Don't interfere in important choices (If a character has to choose between saving lives don't run in and help the other because I will definitely have something to keep you occupied)
3. You are not the buffest most stamina blessed person in the universe (Seriously if your 12 don't fire off 20 rounds in a shotgun without any experience without dislocating your arm. Or even think about taking on a group of them by yourself)
4. I will not hesitate to kill you if you make dumb choices. (Ie. I shoot at the horde of zombies. Effect: You run low on ammo and there is still a lot left. Action: I run in to attack them with my katana. Effect: You take out 3 or 4 of them and then get overtaken and devoured)
5. Put "I'm gullible" If you think this will get you into the RP
6. Romance - It's a touchy topic but don't go overboard. You kiddies are old enough to know how the world works and what is allowed on this website.
7. Rules are boring but necessary. *High-five* |
