| @Hax, true, but there's supposed to be a separation of church and state. Instead of everyone having to swear on the bible, why not have them swear on the religious texts of whatever their religion is? And if they're Atheist, just have them swear on... hm... haven't quite figured that one out yet... |

@Bills
Swearing on your life would work for just about anyone of any religious belief, wouldn't it? |

| Actually, supermario, now that you mention that, swearing on your life could work for any religion. Except suicide bombers that were caught before they could blow themselves up. |

@ThatTharAlt
Then I shouldn't trust you for anything, should I? If you're going to swear on your life, you should at least be willing to k i l l yourself if you'e lying. |

| It's not even really serious stuff though. Just when my mom's like "Did you do the dishes?" and I say "Yes mom, I took care of the dishes" and she gets all skeptical so I say "I swear on my life that I did the dishes" and then I go do them after that so she doesn't know that I didn't really do them. |

...
If you actually took swearing seriously, it would be serious. =.> At least I know not to trust people like you. |
