The Mariners got basically nothing in return. 2 minor league players that weren't even in the Top 20 in the Yankees minor league depth chart.
The Yankees have better paid a huge a part of Ichiro's salary. |

Well, considering that Ichiro is 38 and his career is almost coming to a close, I guess they just wanted possible potential players for him instead of him just retiring.

He is still a good hitter. Hitting .270 is a down year for him.

The Mariners could of gotten much better talent if money wasn't involved.

Look at Jack Curry's twitter. He works with YES Network, and got it directly from the source.

Seems like something the Yankees would do.

Dude, still most of your posts are "hi", "k", 'wow". Or something else that requires no thought at all.

Zim, that's what I was thinking. Right now he is probably saying bye, then going to take the long walk across the field to the away dugout.

Yeah probably also why the deal got done. Cashman probably talked to Seattle's GM.
btw Ichiro will be in uniform for the Pinstripes.

Probably started trade talks during A's series and finalized it when Yankees traveled to Mariners.
