-----Subject----- Being a General
Written by: General Mikey of NEA
So, being a General of a major group has it's ups and downs. You get to command basically anybody you please, but you are expected to know everything there is about the group. You get unconditional love from the group, but that's just them kissing up to you. I've been a general long enough to realize, it's hard work. But this thread isn't about the hard work, it's about soldiers kissing up to Generals.
Now, it may seem like fun when all your soldiers are telling you how great of a leader you are and praising you twenty-four seven, but in reality it's depressing to know that they're only doing it to further their careers in your group. Yet, there is still some good soldiers out there, who don't kiss up, and they earn your respect, and those soldiers are the ones who make it to the high ranks.
So, is it really worth it to kiss up to your higher ranks? I can tell you from my low rank days, it gets you no where, I earned the respect of my higher ranks, and I passed them, and I got to the top. I worked hard, and I earned the rank without kissing up. And that my friends, is how an army's low ranks should be.
