| I hardly ever hear of Linux. It seems like its hiding behind the Windows VS Mac war. |

@Flame
I have every one of my Steam games working with WINE and a ton of other programs.
WINE works 8/10 times.
@Darth
You should look into. |

@hyper You don't need that. It's just plug n play like a mouse.

| Well I don't want Linux. I have no idea how it works and I'm already hopeless enough with computers as it is. I've been using Windows ever since I was three and am fine with it. I know how it works. |

@Darth
No viruses
Better security
Preinstalled Repositories (Basically, the devs of the Linux distro you choose have put together a HUGE group of software full of everything you'd ever need and you can download whatever you want from it whenever you want through the terminal. Everything in the group has been checked and it's all safe.) It's free.
It's opensource, so bugs and security issues are fixed very quickly, as opposed to closed source OS's like Windows and Mac which take forever to have bugs fixed
Another benefit to Linux being opensource is that if you are a programmer/become a programmer you can edit the OS to better fit your needs
Linux can run Windows only software with a program called WINE. |

@Flaming
Sometimes you have to do more than just hit the "Install with WINE Windows Program Loader" button
and as for the 3rd part packages
Installing tarred files isn't that hard
Hell, most of the time you don't even install them, you just create a launcher for the launch file in the tarred file. |
