We should be able to go to the "Account" settings, and have a place where you can make an account only accessible from a specific IP address. It would automatically be turned "Off" but you could enable it, and then you would have to manually set the IP to whatever yours is. By that, I mean you would have to manually type in the IP. I feel that this could halt quite a few pass-guessers or Keylogger sites.

Thanks for the supports. =P Also, @Mik, you mean having it so you can log in from 2 IP's? I like the add-on.

| Mikkel, what if you could add IPs that you could login with? |

Or just add any IP.
Up to 5 or whatever. |

@Neg; that's also good. But there should be a limit to how many. 5's a good balance point, I guess.

Unlike IP bans, this idea would actually work, because only one computer can have that specific address at a time. The only problem I would see is that most, if not all, ISPs assign dynamic IPs, which would mean that you could get locked at spontaneously at any time if the ISP decides to reassign your's. If there was a sufficient workaround in place for this - sorta like the login reset button - then this would work wonders.

@Cobalt; True. They'd probably have to add something like that, or how about this; a "Alternative log in" that has specific security questions made by the user. Such as... "What was your first dog's name?" or some other question that the user can make. Having those to bypass the IP in cases such as IP changes?

Still not as secure as a login reset type method but it would work. So long as it would allow you to bypass the IP lock in the even your IP is modified.

| Support, but I agree with like 5 IPs, cause I play at my cousins sometimes. |
