I think Jupiter would destroy Earth, due to it's massive gravity, and either form a new moon(s) or a ring(s). What do you OTers think?

Jupiter has no ground, it's a gas planet.

I'm thinking of Earth being an asteroid colliding with that huge thing, and in many years, life would form on Jupiter.

@thegamergirl
But Jupiter is mostly gas. And Jupiter has no hydrocarbons (a biological chemical needed for life). How would life form?

@Gabe
It has a solid core and/or liquid core that is about the size of Earth, according to scientists.

"Jupiter has no ground, it's a gas planet."

If it was purely gas, it would be a nebula.

It must have a solid core due to the pressure and gravity.

They think that the core of Jupiter is actually an area of highly dense liquid gas.
So basically if you go to the core of Jupiter you will be engulfed in gases hotter than lightning.

The Sun is hotter then lightning. If Jupiter's gases were that hot, Jupiter wouldn't be a planet, rather it would be a star.

@Maradar

How would it be a star?

It isn't formed like a star, and it is liquid gases that are hot, not airborn gases.

Earth wouldn't come close to Jupiter due to Jupiter's massive gravitational pull and how it's climate would obliterate Earth.

If Jupiter collided, our planet would have all the bacon in the universe.
