Specifically the Poorer areas. Like the area's you see in the movie 'Rocky'. I noticed how people just sit on their house step doing nothing, and the rail way was above the road with the houses along side it. Just imaging waking up every day to the sound of a train. The people that lived here, didn't even own their homes, they rented them. Every building was poorly taken care of. Every third person had all of their possessions in a Grocery cart. Every one of their faces had a sense of defeat and hopelessness.
Then two block later, things started to lighten up, the economy there was better than two blocks before. People where hustling and bustling to make their life better. the Buildings where no different than the ones before, except these ones where better taken care of. I could tell that the one thing that they feared was to end up like their brothers down the road.
As I went down the road, I began to see Car dealerships and shops that sold more expensive stuff, people looked more conservative, more brighter, like they knew tomorrow is going to be better than today.
Then I crossed the border into my country, then you ended up in future land. Makes you think 'how did that happen'. How can a place, less than 5 miles in distance, go from the super poor to super rich.
How can we get the super poor into thinking tomorrow will be better? How can we get them to start making something out of themselves? How can we make someone's life better without making one's life worse?

"more brighter"
Grammar fail.
"How can we get the super poor into thinking tomorrow will be better? How can we get them to start making something out of themselves? How can we make someone's life better without making one's life worse?"
The answer lies within the idea of survival of the richest. The poor people don't count as having a life unless they work to make one, so they should just die off. |

They work harder than most of us. I suggest you don't hold that snobbish opinion or someone will get offended and sit on you. |
