With some bricks (mostly concrete), after I get about 100 studs from the center, they lose their material and look plastic. How can I fix this?

The computer I'm using now is much worse than the computer I was using before (it was a really nice computer but it crashed and the hard drive got wiped. Couldn't ever find the backup CD's) and the same thing happened on it.

It doesn't matter if the hard drive crashed. The reason it does this is so it decreases the lag in your place. They do this in every game out there, the farther away you are, the less detailed it becomes.

Either that or go into your Settings and turn off bevels and shadows. This will free up your Graphics card to render the complex surfaces longer. I have my shadows turned on, but bevels off, just because I hate the bevelled look.

My bevels have been off over a year now and shadows about a month.

Roblox Studio -> Settings -> Rendering -> Concretequality/Materialquality = Medium.

Oh. Low makes them look like plastic.

Then I guess I'll put it back at medium.
