| I've been thinking lately... If the universe is infinite, doesn't that mean there are infinite chances that there is a planet identical to ours with all the same people at the same place thinking the same thing at the same time? |

@OP
Yes, and that is in fact mentioned in the multiverse theory. (I'm not saying I think the multiverse theory is right, but that part certainly is.) |

| I'm certain that there will be a planet almost exactly the same to us. But this planet has to be in the "Goldilocks zone" As in, It can't be too hot, too cold, but just right. |

| And of course, accoriding to this freak of probability, the chances are also infinite that there is something in the universe that will destroy this planet within the next hour. |

There is also the possibilty that on one planet, dogs and cat's have humans as pets.
It's possible. |

Just as possible as King Ghidora being a real animal, flying towards Earth.
Who's to say the people who came up with Ghidora aren't worshippers of the beast themselves?

And if it is possible in an infinite universe, then it is definite. |

@godly
everyone in this thread is saying that the universe is infinite, and you get mad at me. It's not good to hold an inter-thread grudge. |

If the universe is not infinite, which I believe it is not infinite, what happens when you reach the end?
Invisible wall? We leave space which is like another planet surface and into some other space?
We explode at the speed of light?
Wind up in Heaven, Hell?

| but if there is something beyond that "end", why shouldn't we consider that part of the universe? I have a wall around my room, does that mean that my room is the entire universe? |

@awesome
"These questions may never be answered with any absolute precision but the standard model views our local universe as a finite sphere. Nevertheless, our local universe may be contained within a larger megauniverse which may be infinite in nature. Hopefully this defination does not confuse things for you."
Hence, our universe is finite, but as stated before, is one of many.
