Wrong, most of them:
@ = at * = correction (like you said bda but meant bad*) & = and (I have just seen Tom & Jerry) 1 = one Lol = Laughing out loud Omg = Oh my god
It's also easier to use symbols, because they're easier to spot in many cases, plus using them won't make your knowledge about your language drop - they will eventualy increase your knowledge, because you think of writing something, but you want to shorten it - just must shorten it in a smart way so it will be shorter, but still understandable. |

Asterisks and daggers are used for making notes about the subjected word, generally at the bottom of whatever page the writing is on. This is done by putting the asterisk (or, if an asterisk has already been applied to a word, the dagger) after a word and then repeating that symbol.
i.e I think having a koala* would be awesome.
