[Spin-off of Rise of a Kingdom.]
In the medieval world of Skazia, the land of Thalnor has now split into warring counties. The old ruler of the land, King Foster, has passed away with no known family alive, entrusting the throne to his loyal Subordinate Lord, Sir Sideston, though he had lost the Royal Document to give to him on his death bed.
The Earls and Countesses of the land did not know this, however, and all had a secret hope that the throne would be granted to them, some even plotting to take it by force if not. When Sidestock announced that he was the heir, the Thalnorian vassals flew into a rage, assuming him a liar, and the Sideston was assassinated days later.
The land is now divided among warring vassals, fighting for control of a now flaming kingdom.
You are one of the vassals. You will fight for power, and crush all of the others. Raise your army and slaughter the other lords, whether they were former friends or rivals!
You could say that this is...A Ruptured Kingdom. ________________________________________________ ---RULES---
-You CAN be defeated. In the end, only one lord will reign supreme. -You are ALL automatically at war with each other. NO TRUCES. -You make decisions, I choose the outcome. That means I choose the outcomes of your actions. You don't. -NO magical powers, though this is in a fictional setting. -This is medieval-based. No guns or cannons. ________________________________________________ ---CIV GUIDE---
TAXATION: This is quite simple. Rents are collected from the peasants and townsfolk, and tariffs are gained from collecting money from traders. High taxes allow you to obtain more money, but at the price of people hating you. Low taxes make people happy and more rich, but you won't be getting much money.
SUPPLIES: Supplies! It’s what keeps your little fief going smoothly. Running out of some kinds of supplies is a simple annoyance, but depleting other types can be catastrophic.
[Supply Types]
-Food [Comes with different types] -Lumber -Minerals [Comes with different types] -Arms and Armour [Comes with different types] -Luxuries [Increases happiness] [Comes with different types] -Alcohol [Also increases happiness]
[Supply Amounts]
Massive Supply Large Supply Good Supply Average Supply Meagre Supply Low Supply Very Low Supply ------
BANDITRY AND CRIME: An economic and military problem. There are two types of criminals: City Criminals and Marauders.
[City Criminals] City criminals can be organized gangs, or just the common mugger or peasant thief in the streets. Crime will rise if the city or town is poor, but rich cities can also be a spot for organized gangs to operate at well.
[Marauders] You need actual soldiers to deal with these bandits. Marauders hide away from others in the wilderness. Marauders can raid small villages and towns and disrupt economies, making them a pain. Peasants will quickly turn brigand if they are too poor, or feel that they are not cared about. ------
SANITATION: Disease can ravage many different towns and villages. An area with a sick populace will obviously not function properly.
[Levels of Sanitation]
Populace is Fit Populace is Healthy Populace is Sick Populace is Infested ------
CITIZEN HAPPINESS: There are a bunch of things which cause stress for peasants, and also a bunch of things that will satisfy them as well. High taxes, war, crime, corruption, famine and disease can make them unhappy. Low taxes, luxuries, alcohol, and freedoms can make cause them to become happy. Happy citizens are not likely to rebel, and tend to just work contently. Unhappy citizens will become restless and may turn bandit or revolt.
[Citizen Happiness Levels]
Citizens are Loyal Citizens are Satisfied Citizens are Content Citizens are Disgruntled Citizens are Unhappy Citizens are Miserable ------
CIVIL DISORDER: Civil disorder is when the populace of a city becomes unhappy enough to cause riots, strikes and other bad things usually due to poor management. Civil disorder halts all actions in the town it is in, and may damage the city buildings and improvements. It not exactly a rebellion, but it is not rare for it to turn into one.
________________________________________________ ---MILITARY GUIDE---
SOLDIER TYPES: There are different kinds of branches soldiers can be in. They are listed below. Sometimes combinations can be made.
They also come in "Light" and "Heavy" types as well.
[Infantry] Infantry are the backbone of most armies. They tend to be conscripted peasant regulars who fight hand-to-hand in combat and act as military policemen as well.
[Ranged] Crossbowmen, archers, javelin-throwers etc. They tend to stay behind and fire in volleys at the order of officers. They make awful melee-fighters, but they are deadly when using their favourite weapons.
[Cavalry] Cavalrymen either ride horses or Deasican Camels. Cavalry move fast, and can act as scouts or deadly chargers.
[Artillery/Siege] Catapults, battle wagons and trebuchets. A siege piece is considered worthless if the people manning it are killed, or if it is destroyed completely.
[Ships] Ships are used for escorting trading ships, carrying infantry and supplies and also just wrecking enemy riverside towns. They can be equipped with archers, mangonels and plenty of other deadly weapons. Every county is by a river.
MORALE: Similar to Citizen Happiness, but for soldiers. Morale is what keeps your soldiers from not ditching you. A battalion with high morale means their troops will likely not desert them or retreat. High morale also gives a small combat bonus.
[Morale Levels]
Morale is Excellent Morale is High Morale is Good Morale is Average Morale is Falling Morale is Low Morale is Terrible
RANKS: Soldiers can achieve certain ranks. The higher the rank, the less likely they are to retreat or get killed. Ranks can be customized.
RANKS ARE NOT REALLY BY AUTHORITY POWER, BUT BY SKILL.

County Name: Kryta County Description: A vassal of the former country that borders a vast ocean to the west, and a lush forest of pine and oak to the south. The people hail from fishers, woodsmen, and miners from their geographic lands, and are culturally diverse. Woodsmen from the south believe in the old "tree songs" of old, where men communed with the trees for a living. The fishers of the west believe of The Dragon--known in some parts of the coat as "The Watch of The Waves"--a god that could commune with reality and warp it, an entity to return to physical form and lead Kryta to victory and peace. The steppe nomads and farmers of the east hold "Wise Ones," who are known to commune to spirits of winds and rains, fortune and forebodings. Lord Name: Lord Algemar Caleste Lord Description: A Caucasian man, he rules his fief in the center of Kryta, surrounded by the forests and coast and steppes all together. A man of humble backgrounds, his family earned the fief through work instead of bloodline from the former Kings who once united the land. He keeps his subtleties to relate to the people, and usually dons a Long Fur Coat and Dirty Leather Boots when he addresses to his people. A clean-shaven man, his age seems odd compared to his complexion, as it seems that his face is made of nothing but sinew and bone. Notable People: Malia Torlof, a steppe woman who united the once warring tribes of Kryta East; Delor Atlas, a sea ruler who is advisor to Algemar and representative of his people on the Kryta Coast. [Name] Albay [County Desc] The county of Albay is a lush forest land with various lakes and rivers flowing threw it. All of the people there tell the tale of King Albay who slayed the dragon of the North so he could found the city of Albay and o start the fiefdom. There are multiple flat clearings that are used for farming. The city itself is in the center of the county protected by outpost doted around the city itself. The Albaynians ancestors used to be nomads who found out how to farm. This finding forced them to settle down in one area. [Lord Name] Lord Thomas Austara [Lord Descriptions] A caucasian in his early thirty's man who used to be one of the personal advisors of the king. He obtained the county of Albay before the king died as a gift for helping the king prevent a huge riot in the capitol. Lord Thomas is a very smart, persuasive person who has diplomacy on his side. He wears boots made of leather along with rough chaps that have leather padding, he also wears a bear skin tunic that he says was from a bear that he killed with his trusty sword.. The only thing that makes him look Nobel is the crown he wears on his head that's made of fine silver, and his long sword in his sheath. He dresses like this so he can bond with the townsfolk easier so he can latter just tax them harder without them being as angry. He has a deep voice and has a egg shaped head and a straight nose. He has very little complexion and some even think of him as H@ndsom. [Other] King Albay a Nomad who boasted about slaying a "Dragon" and starting the fief of Albay. Although he never slew a dragon the peasants still believe he did. Squire Ryan is the closest thing that Lord Thomas will ever have as a son. This is because Lord Thomas never wanted to have a wife and children. Although most people refer the 14 year old squire as Thomas's son and some people think that he's his actual son. |

Infantry
Soldier Name: Conscripts Equipment: Spears/Short Poleaxes, Long Dagger. The standard apparel consists of a Plain White Tunic of Cotton, stencilled with the Lord's insignia--a black raven surrounded by swords poised outwards on a red background--on the front torso area. Many conscripts also bring equipment at random, though none make a substantial difference in the field--possibly a leather vest under the standard tunic, or a pair of partially-rusted iron plate gauntlets. One man in a unit--consisting of 125 men--carries a standard fastened to a long pole which also displays the Lord's banner. Note that these men make the backbone of Lord Algemar's Army. Ranks: Recruit, Regular
Ranged
Soldier Name: Deshavi Huntsmen Equipment: Long Bows or Hunting Bows, each man issued around 5 Chisel-tipped Iron Arrows and 20 Triangular-Headed Stone Arrows. Many of these men come from the woods of Kryta South, and wear their standard camouflage and get-up from their homes. This is due to the fact that these men are skirmishers, users of Guerilla Tactics. You could see many wearing olive-green cloths and weaved cloaks of leaves. Some wear Green Rawhide Coats and Leather Armors and Hoods. Ranks: Recruits, Regulars, Veterans
I will add more later.

Mobilize one unit of Conscripts to Kryta East, along the Steppe Border. Allow them to prepare some defenses, and act as Forward Observation to monitor traffic that comes into Kryta.
Start a small-scale propaganda campaign (this will escalate eventually) in the captial, Lion's Arch, to help with recruitment of two more units of conscripts.
Begin large harvesting of Lumber and Minerals in Kryta South, and begin farming of Agricultural crops (wheat and barely) in Kryta East. |
