Life was simple. People lived, died, payed taxes, played baseball, and everything in between. But then the meteorites came. Scientists thought that the heavy showers of planetary debris would simply collide with our world's atmosphere and turn to dust, like all the other small meteorites from other showers. And they did. But something happened. When the meteorites collided with Earth's atmosphere, they exploded into bright flashes of light. Light that filled the sky for days, all over the world, so bright that one couldn't tell the difference from night and day. Well, scientists just assumed something was different about these meteorites, that they were just saturated with chemicals that reacted to our Sun's solar radiation to create lights. Boy, were they wrong. People started to notice things. Funny things. People began to display signs of . . . . well, of powers. SUPER powers. Not the flying, man of steel kind of powers. Well, not most of them. Most people who showed signs of having powers had minor stuff; minor telekinesis, set a trash can on fire with just a thought, have an F grade average one day and an A+ the next. Minor stuff. Some people didn't. And, despite what most optimists might believe about the world's general sense of responsibility, they were certainly disproved. Crime ran rampant as normal folk without powers began to fall victim to the cruel abuse of some less - than - noble supers super - egos. Then came the Supers' Institutes of Corrections. A group of specially trained operatives, with the consent of world leaders and the general populace, began constructing specialized prisons to house supers and keep them from doing harm to the general public. As time crawled on and the Institutes became more and more successful, the world came to a decision; put the Institutes in charge. The Institutes merged into seven separate Institutes, one for each major continental powerhouse, lead and commanded from the US Institute in Washington. Crime went down as most "big time" super - villains were caught and transported to corresponding Institutes. The populace, free of most major supers, took legal action to ensure that their loved ones with minor powers were protected from prejudice and imprisonment. Laws were passed globally, and the Institutes complied without protest. Or so people think. In reality, instead of simply housing dangerous criminals, scientists working in the globally funded Institutes experimented on super - humans while members of the Institutes' private military shoved all evidence of misuse under the rug. And that's not even the worst part. Field agents, always on the lookout for those with superpowers, make lists of any they could find, and the brains of the Institutes, lead by the mysterious Institute Council, began plans. Horrible plans. Plans to frame potential supers for horrible crimes so that they can prove if they are supers or not and pack them away to the Institutes if they are. But don't worry . . . . this is all rumors and lies . . . . and the Institutes are always there to protect you . . . . Always. |

So, that's the main idea for this Super Heroes RP. Now then, there are going to be rules and, if you want to be a part of this RP, I expect you to follow them. I'm not being a hard - case; I just want this to be a somewhat serious RP for somewhat serious RPers.
#1: Most of you should know basic RP etiquette. If not, feel free to ask me questions. #2: No god - modding. It's just really annoying and can cramp up RP's play. #3: All characters must be either Human or Super Human. There will be no fairies or elves, and especially no trolls. #4: You may NOT join the RP until I approve your character. This may take some time as I'm not always on the computer and not always on Roblox. #5: If you want to involve another person's character or characters in your character's Bio or background, ask their permission first in a PM. #6: Escape from the Institute is impossible. MAYBE if you ask nicely and I feel it would be beneficial to the plot, I MIGHT allow some Supers to escape. #7: You may have, at the most, two characters. If I feel you're responsible enough to have more, I will allow you to have more characters. #8: No one on the outside knows about how the Institute really works. Their activity is carefully concealed by S.I.C. agents. So, no "And then the S.I.C. came and killed my whole family." They'd just frame you for a crime and send you to the Institute legally. #9: Not too many riots, okay? If your character is relatively new to the Institute, then it's understandable. If your character isn't, they'd most likely seen what horrible things happen to rioters and are more tranquil. Or at least more frightened. #10: I will not allow the RP to start unless there is at least one million chipmunks in my attic. That is all. |

Now then, here is my recommended Bio format. If you want to make a few adjustments to it, feel free. I'd like you to have detailed Bios, but if you want to just have a short Bio that's fine. They're your characters.
Regular Human Bio: Name: A.G.E.: Gender: Occupation: (Not the same thing as rank.) Rank: (If you are a part of the S.I.C. military.) Appearance: (S.I.C. agents wear uniforms, but the higher up in rank you go in S.I.C. the more you can modify it, as you will see from my character's bio.) Bio: (Totally up to you. I suggest it make sense, however.)

| (I don't believe he's advertising at all. Welcome To Asylum is a roleplay I'm in as well with Inmates (I noticed you used that as well) in a facility for people who have abnormal abilities and powers. I don't want to be rude, but this does sound very similar to it.) |

Super Human Bio:
Name: Trace Drake
A.G.E.: 21
Gender: Male
Occupation: Traitor, Institute Warden, Commander of Institute guards.
Appearance: Wears a bone-white straightjacket under a coal-black overcoat with the S.I.C. symbol stitched onto the back. Wears blue work jeans, frayed at the edges. Wears white, old fashioned carriage gloves and mud-brown boots. Wears bandages underneath closes, covering him from his toes to his neck. Wears a bright blue, wide brimmed hat. Wears a white mask, triangular in shape wit large, round eyes and a triangular smiley mouth with slanted teeth. Mask is all points with no round or smooth edges. Has pale skin, brown hair, grey, almost blind looking eyes, and scars running up and down his arms. Very tall and thin, almost gangly.
Powers: Draining; if his skin touches another person's skin, their energy is drained from them, slowly if he isn't concentrating and quickly if he is. Same thing applies to thing that run on energy, such as lightning, fire, or machines. Energy Overload; With tremendous focus, and a severe sense of self - draining, he can force energy he's accumulated into a person or object. Leaves him exhausted. Psychic Implant: Using his own energy, he can put hypnotic suggestion into a person's mind. Strong willed victims can resist the suggestions, but weak willed victims can lose all control of themselves. He can also rewrite a person's Personality given enough time and energy. Leaves him weary.
Personality: Very easy going. but cold when it comes to dealing with an Inmate or subordinate. Always playfully insults people he likes and is very polite to those he doesn't. His insult can range from offhand comments to ego shattering hatred. Loyal to his friends, always looking for a way to advance his position, and as mad as a hatter.
Bio: For the first 10 years of his life, Trace was raised by his mother, Rosy, a hookah living in New York. Taught to kill his mother's customers and rob them since he was five, he was kept tame by his mother by feeding him "uppers" and "downers" with his food, leaving him an addict. After his mother was arrested after murdering the Mayor of New York, Trace was shipped of to a mental hospital for his multiple personality disorder and general depression. After 3 years of peaceful living, something happened. A nurse spilled hot soup onto Trace's leg on accident, driving him berserk. He suddenly and horribly displayed his new-found powers by causing the patients and doctors of the hospital to kill each other in unique, frightening ways, as well as draining the nurse of both her stamina and life - energy, then forcing it into a guard who tried to stop him, killing him instantly. S.I.C. agents caught wind of the incident and quickly brought him to the American Institute, where he was experimented on and tested for another five years. The top brass began to see potential in the docile, yet murderous kid they had found, and began training him to be a S.I.C. operative. After three years of advancing through the ranks, race gained a place on the Council, along with command of the Institute' guards and inmates. With his manic mood swings and inventive ways of killing, Inmates and guards alike have come to call him "The Mad Warden." |

Occupation: S.I.C. General, member of the Council, ex US military.
Rank: Commander in Chief, equal in rank to Drake
Appearance: Standard S.I.C. Military uniform with extra badges from the US and S.I.C. military. Very large, standing at almost seven feet tall, well built, white, scars over his entire body, slight limp on his left leg.
Personality: Sour, very r@cist, prejudiced, and very, very s.E.xist, mean as a porcupine with a hand grenade, won't think twice about getting rid off an obstacle, little to no originality or imagination, loyal to the point of stupidity.
Bio: Born as a seventh generation military man, he was raised from the time he could salute to be the best of the best of the best. A bully to anyone weaker to him and a health threat to anyone stranger, he quickly gained a reputation as a total @rse. He joined the military at a.g.e 16, lying his way into the recruitment office. After twenty years of service and a short time as Secretary of War for the President, he was recruited into the S.I.C. council's top brass, where he was given command of all S.I.C. field agents. For the next decade, he has had to put up with Drake, who is a constant torment to him. Drake has the authority to draft members of the S.I.C. military into the Institutes Guards every 3 months. Drake tends to take most of Phist's top men and "accidentally" kill them within the first month. Phist is also jealous of Drake's influence over the Head of Council, leader of all S.I.C. Institutes.

Super Human Bio: Name: Cadenza Pacheco A.G.E.: 17 Gender: Female. Occupation: Inmate (Preferably a newer inmate) Appearance: Standard uniform.
Powers: The power to change the color, pattern, and texture of anything. This isn’t amazingly helpful, usually, but almost ANYTHING can be changed, from human flesh to a rock. This ability is VERY helpful for disguises, at least! She can change it at will, and can change either color, pattern, or texture, or one of the three, or a combination. Depending on the size, density, and amount of changes she makes to any given object, will result in how tired it drains her. She may do this only by touching the object, usually with her hand. The ability to make material softer or harder. Like the last one, she can do this to almost anything. She can change the material of something with only her mind, but it’s less effective than when she comes within physical contact of said object. Say she’s making a rock softer. That would be harder than making a feather softer, draining her of more energy. Lastly, the ability to make things heavier or lighter. Things like gasses and liquids won’t be affected by this, because it’s really hard to imagine heavy water or gas, right? Anyhow, near anything can become extremely heavy, somewhat heavy, or sorta heavy, or extremely light, somewhat light, or sorta light. Again, the amount of energy drained depends on how heavy or light the object was before, and the size of the object.
Personality: Cadenza is normally a somewhat depressing, dreary person, who has trouble seeing the “bright side” of a bad situation. She secretly wishes she knew her dead mother, not that she’d ever say it. She loves her father very much, and would hurt anyone who tried to hurt him... or, at least TRY too. She tends to surround herself with upbeat people to compensate for her lack of upbeatness. Bio: Cadenza (or, as she prefers to call herself, Candence), has shoulder-length, black, curly hair, which if often an uncontrollable mess, but it doesn’t necessarily look bad. She has almost-black eyes, as well, complete with pale skin. This gives her a dreary appearance, and she often fits the part. She first found out about her power when she was browsing a clothing store, holding a black shirt. She wanted it to have a red streak and be softer and, just like that, a red streak appeared on the shirt and it became silky soft. Otherwise, Cadenza was raised by a single father, who loved her very much, and mourned the loss of her deceased mother. Cadenza has no memory of her mom; she sort of prefers it that way. As a result of her mother’s death, Cadenzas father became overprotective of his only daughter. Her father also gave her the nickname Candence, when she complained of her name, which was passed down from her great grandmother, who was Italian. Cadenza was recently framed for a crime, which was killing a little girl and injuring her father, because she became “jealous her father was spending time with another little girl he was babysitting, and went on an angry rampage”. Of course, this didn’t really happen. The crime makes sense, of course, since Cadenza had all her father’s love and affection for all her life.

(Ohai! I admit, this is similar to Welcome to Asylum, which I am a part of, but I love this type of roleplay. So I'z joining :D)
Name: Yukino Hamah A.G.E.: 14 Gender: Female Occupation: Inmate Appearance: Yukino is about average height for her age, at 5'2'. She has a very thin body, with not much developement. Her legs are long, and she has small hands with ragged nails. Her feet are also small. Her shoulders and neck are narrow and thin, and her bones are a little more visible than they should be. She has a heart-shaped face with high cheekbones and a pointed chin. Her skin is very pale, as she hasn't seen outside in years. Her lips are naturally a rose-pink shade, though they are a bit chapped. Her teeth are quite straight as she had braces as a child. Her nose is small and turns up at the tip. She has large eyes that are framed by dark lashes. The irises are a dark violet. Her eyebrows are high and dark. She has waist-length black hair that is quite silky. She wears the standard uniform. Personality: Yukino is a dark individual. Even as a young girl, she always loved thinking about death and blood. She enjoys to laugh at innapropriate times. She is often attempting escape in hopes that one of these days, she'll actually make it. Unlike many in the Institute, she wasn't framed for crimes. She committed them and isn't upset that she did. She's upset that she got caught. She likes jokes and things like that, and is a very good artist. She is left-handed. Her personality is definitely not the friendliest, but she can be very nice if she wishes to be. She has a special love for animals and always avoided hurting them. Powers: Yukino has the power to control skin. She can cut and close them quite quickly, but if the wound is made by someone other than herself, it takes a long time. She can also control blood, though she could still use some practice to master this. She has unusually strong senses, and can see further than the average person and hear more as well. She is also significantly stronger than her physical appearance lets on. However, her power has a big flaw. If she can't see it, she can't cut it. Therefore, if you cover her eyes, she can't cut you. Bio: Yukino didn't have the best childhood. She was born to Japanese immigrants and was treated badly by her father, who beat her. Her mother didn't care, and never tried to help her daughter. Yukino was an only child, luckily. This was what started to get her into such dark things. She joined a gang when she was eight and rose surprisingly quickly for a girl. She got karate lessons as her mother wished her to have some protection out on the street, ironically. Yukino was ten when she got her powers. Immediately she became the leader of the gang. However, she lost control and accidentally killed both of her parents. Soon she was killing people left and right on the streets until she was discovered four months later. She was always extremely uncooperative and has killed many guards and scientists. She wants to escape very badly. |

(Skai forced me into this. o.o) Super Human Bio: Name: Justin Fritter A.G.E.: 13 Gender: M Occupation: Inmate Appearance: A non-developed scrawny kid who's paler than a moon beam and twice as harmless. One of his eyes is a mossy unatural green, the other a clouded grayish green. His neck length hair is a dark chocolate brown, is some how always straight despite the humidity and is usually arranged in a haphazard fashion. He is is highly compliant so he was granted black leather driving gloves and a pair of comfortable black sneakers in addition to the standard issue uniform. He does not offer up any reasoning behind the gloves, but their mere presence seems to bring him unexplicable joy. Powers: The ability to change the velocity of objects in motion by manipulating their kenetic energy, Including himself. He can also manipulate an object's state in a similar manner, and is unsure if he can preform that change to himself and change back. Hince, he hasn't tried it. Bio: Justin is from Nome, Alaska. He was raised by a single mother who worked as an Oil fore(wo)man for a major petrol company. He took an intrest in energy at an early age, which his mother encouraged, eager to share her knowledge with her son. However, being stuck at home turned him into some what of a loner, as he is shy and independent for lack of social skills. He excelled in school and couldn't believe his 'luck' when his class was invited to a field trip in the 6th grade to the new Henderson Reactor, which when completely finished, would power 15 towns in the area. Completely. Unknown to him, this was a sting. As he wandered away from his class, his ADD calling him to a shiny door which lead to the main reactor, which he was dying to see. The reactor coolant 'Suddenly' overheated and a nuclear crisis was 'narrowly averted.' The inncedent was placed on his shoulders as when the alarms started blaring, he turned one of the walls into liquid as the door was locked behind him. He is a quiet, eager to please kid with the urge to tinker with just about any mechanical device. He is satisfied with his confinement as he believes he did trigger the reactor and endanger the lives of many and is accepts any predjuce and spite from guards with amazing tolerance. Appearance: Her hair is long and curly, a little frizzy, too. Though it isn't every-inch-curly, just flowy with random curls every here-and-there. Her eyes are unnaturaly icy blue(more about her eyes in bio), and she doesen't wear contacts. They used to be a deep brown, but now they aren't. Her skin is naturally in a deep tan. She always wears her beanie, and she prefers no shoes. If she has to wear some, she prefers slip-on ashy grey toms(Old style.. >:D). She stands around 5' 6'' and weighs 124 pounds.
Personality: She's very focused, and concentrated. though she can be sarcastic in a way, she's always had a bit of humor.
Powers: Telekenesis, Invisibility, Extreme Agility
Bio: Her telekenesis abbility either came out of her eyes or her motions. One day, she focused too hard on an object, and got a headache. She blinked twice, and her eyes became icy blue. When she realized she had powers, she got mad at someone, in public, and threw them against a wall. We all know what happened after that. |
