old doesn't mean that they are bad.
they are perfectly fine and us airways maintenance is great.
besides, 737's are the most popular plane in the commercial industry

this has NOTHING to do with maintenance.....
and probably any other plane like the 737 would have that same problem with a bird strike...

not true md11, dc10, a340, b747, a380 and few others with more then 2 engines could've easily not had to ditch.
probably some larger mid-wide body planes (767, 777, a330 ect) could've too. |
