The original was more about suspense and climax which was built up throughout the film with introduction to members of the clan including Leatherface.
While the remake series is more like "k, lets get to the point" has no suspense, and is purely gore, and horror.
I like the remake series, but man, the original is scarier IMO.

| Personally all old horror films I think have never actually been about gore. Leatherface wasn't, Halloween wasn't. But the remakes to both these films were more about the point. The only real suspence from the Beginning was when the black haired girl (havn't watched in a while so don't know her name), was crawling along the floor of the house trying to figure out whether to leave or save her friends. (She should have left :3 and felt guilty). But even that scene wasn't that scary. |

| Yeah everyman or woman for themselves. That blonde guy got the point... He got stuck in hunting trap lol. So either way I don't think they were going to survive. |
