I heard it is a sequel to the ORIGINAL series taking place shortly after the events of the first film and retconning the events of its original sequels which led into their own separate continuities.
Girl named Heather, goes to Texas to collect an inheritance, which includes the iconic character we all know, and love as Leatherface.
No news on the rest of his cannibalistic family.
What do you want to see? And, more importantly what are your thoughts.
As always I'm in the middle and was hoping for a separate film entirely focusing on a copycat killer. Still, it sounds good, and ultimately has potential.

You haven't heard of the 3D sequel?
Blasphemy!
It is a sin that this film hasn't been given any attention especially since the film is scheduled to release on, January 4, 2013.
CAN'T WAIT. |

Been waiting for this for a while now, can't wait.
Bill Moseley is gonna come and play Drayton Sawyer/The Cook. Gonna' be sweet.
Here's to hoping that there's a nod to the Hitch-Hiker somewhere in there. |

Say Whaaa.
I don't think the actual story of a man and his chainsaw going around cutting people's faces off is accurate, but I was under the impression it was based on Ed Glein (not sure if that was spelt right.) |

True.
What is it with films going around pretending to be based on true stories anyway? |

Would Texas Chainsaw or Blair Witch be as popular if they weren't advertised as being real

I guess that makes sense, but it can get annoying when you read the forums on IMDB and people ask questions like: "OMG DID THAT ACTUALLY HAPPEN?" false advertisement. :/
I like how the film is somewhat realistic you actually do feel and connect with the characters which made it even more scarier,
What are your thoughts on the remakes?

Well, I haven't seen the remake for a few years now, but I used to have it mixed up with the original, and thought that was the first one.
And so when I found out I was horribly wrong, my mom ironically found a copy of the original at a thrift store and got it for me. Blew my mind, watched it then and the day after.
The remake was cliche, unneeded gore, leatherface design was cheap, and the tea lady annoyed me. But I think the found footage scenes for the movie were excellent, so I have to thank them for that. =x |

wasn't the original called Leather Face?
Then it went onto Texas Chainsaw Masacre The Begining.
Then The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. |

| Leather Face or Tommy was abandond by his parents and found by another family (the cannibals). Tommy is real ugly and has no nose (Like red skull in MARVEL movies exsept not red or bald) and is bullied by people and brought up by his new family to know he's ugly. He has had enough of being told he's ugly and he cuts this guys face off to put it on himself so people won't see how ugly he looks. |

Well I don't know what happened really, I like in England not Texas :P. Plus I don't really study it I study millitery history. I just know that's what it said on the movie.
PS. Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning Uncut Version is the best version XD . In my opinion. |

My man, you need to see the original from 1974. Michael Bay's 2003 remake and The Beginning were not very good. =x
I'm not sure why he wore a mask, ultra. Either to hide his face, or because he wanted to be other people due to split personalities. One of the two.

I have seen the original, it's very... not good lol. Even the un-cut version has no gore lol. It was OK but the begining sicked when they ran over a armadilo and that guy watched that woman on the loo O_O It was more like an action film in parts, like when Leatherface fights that guy from the truck who helps the couple after they're chassed by him and crash they're car.
I thought there were 3 movies, because I have 3 movie box set. It contains: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Leatherface (I think there is more to this title but the main bit is Letherface on the front cover) (This is the old one from 1974, juding by the picture quality and the ammount of gore shown :3 ) |

Oh and a more SLIGHTLY realistic piece to The Beginning: He started without a leather mask... But his face wasn't really lether was it?
Oh and I like the 2003 remake in the intro with real police video's, I like how they aded that. Infortunatly, two cops got ambushed. |
