In the Imperium of Man, there was once a Program for new recruits and cadets that was supposed to be used to filter out the bad from the good. This was when the group had fewer then two hundred members who weren't complete trolls, spies, heretics and clueless FNGs with little to no training. However, in an effort to increase the IoM's group size, the group was abandoned and we grew in size significantly. Though it seemed like a good idea at the time, it's recently begun to backfire. We get ALTs made to troll/spy on the IoM, new people who I couldn't trust to tie their shoes and men who join for a few days then abandon the group.
The Cadet Program could've filtered all this, but apparently was inactive and not well maintained/used, making the Imperium of Man's influx of new soldiers diminish and bring us down to barely a hundred members and it was then decided to have it removed. A few months have passed, a lot of months, since the Cadet program was removed and we've since grown larger in numbers then some of us would've thought possible.
However sheer number's aren't always the best, just look at the major groups like WIJ, John's Cobras, Vortex Security, FEAR and RAT. The question has become for the Imperium of Man; do we want quality over quantity or quantity over quality?
Pros to a Cadet Program [1] - Fully trained, professional Guardsmen [2] - A whole lot less trolls/spies/heretics and generally horrid new recruits
Cons to a Cadet Program [1] - Less recruits [2] - Would backfire if staffed with bad instructors/officers [3] - IOM loosing a bulk of it's men if the Cadet Program became inactive [4] - Money needed to make it
Alternatives [1] - 0T Laws(Wash out the ones unable to follow them) [2] - Commissars trusted by Eagle to rid the group of the bad
Alternative drawbacks [1] - Might not be able to strictly enforce them [2] - Commissar opinion maybe biased or too harsh
====================!!!!!REMINDER!!!!!!========================
Just because we're voting on it, doesn't mean it'll go into motion with a majority. The Imperium of Man isn't a democracy; the final decision is up to Eaglesword

I believe the Cadet Program should be brought back into IoM, due to the fact I am a Captain and I have been having to deal with many Guardsmen which just troll all day, and I can't report most of them due to the fact that most of the Higher Ranks have it were you can't message them unless you are on there friends list. So I vote a giant YES! for the Cadet Program.

I Vote to re-initiate the program, as you said, it's job would filter all of the people not meant to be. You have my vote on this subject.

Whether or not OT laws return is entirely up to the Emperor. I'd prefer not to have boyscout recruits with smiley faces going "lolthatwasfunnywhatyousaidthereCini" in a girly teenage body mesh.

I was there when the Cadet program was made. I say we need it. We also need a cadet team though. So that the cadents don't come as raiders. 2 Thumbs up from Colonel Geto118118.

I'd GLADLY say yes, because it gives us more of an chance to know who's joining and train them, so that we don't let some idiot in the can't fight at all. Also I'd like to vote that we have some Officers train some higher ranked cadets, so that they can learn what to do if they become an officer. Thats all I really have to say.

Not sure if I'm allowed to vote, but from my experience, militaries with cadet programs seem to do better than those without. So yes, I say bring it back.

Yes! Absolutely needed!
There are too many trolls, heretics-to-be, and kids that aren't serious getting in! I vote for this to be put into action as soon as possible. |

I agree with everyone else. A cadet program would be nice to have since I believe some people in this group can not handle simple rules. I believe no member should come up to a HR and say "TROLOLOLOLOL UMADBRO?". If I can vote I vote yes to the Cadet Program.

I vote yes. I believe we need the program to train our guardsmen into the trained hardened soldiers we need, and those who really want to join the group will work their way through the program.

I'm not in IoM, but that sounds like a great idea. I could even help out with starting that back up if you need anything, I suppose...

I vote for this. I also am willing to pay for the programm, and the ranks. I will be more than willing to transfer ownership to the emperor/warmasters/generals. AGAIN: I vote for this.

I think the question is: Do we want a mob, or a military?
I would say reinstate the program, but choose the trainers wisely (Meaning not at random / Friends) and train them correctly and have scheduled trainings. |

Cadet program, please. I'm sick of guardsman with little to no grammar, alts take them down with little to no trouble, and have no respect for their elders, even if it means becoming a guardsman again, I can prove myself again.
