I read quite a bit of reviews and watch a few review videos. It overall seems good for gaming and the only problem I have come across in the reviews is the noise and heat.
What is your opinion? I plan on trying to convince my family to buy me one for Christmas or whenever. |

@Dark
Ok.
@Block
It illuminates very bright, HD sound with good bass, 6 GB Memory, 500 GB Hard Drive, and if you are charging something with a USB and the laptop is off, it still charges.
I want to get it, but my mom almost had a heartattack at the price. It's overpriced, but so worth it in the end. |

@gavin
BuildAPc on reddit is a good start, there's also pcpartpicket, newegg's youtube channel has a couple good guides on it. just take a week or two to research and make sure to MOUNT THE MOTHERBOARD ON STANDOFFS BECAUSE PEOPLE ALWAYS FORGET THAT AND IT COSTS THEM HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE IT SHORTS THEIR PARTS
(seriously)

Sager NP9170.
With the Nvidia GeForce 680M, Ivy Bridge processor, 120GB mSATA SSD (configured for OS), 750 GB 7200 RPM SATA, 12 GB of RAM.
All, for around 1.7k dollars.
Alienware is overpriced. It's a scam.

@Culaure,
What about if you change your logo? Or if you leave ROBLOX? I'd like to leave my ROBLOX life, and personal life seperate.
Alienware is overpriced crap. The only time you would need to buy from them, is for an absolute TOP OF THE LINE machine, with dual Nvidias in SLI, multiple hard drives in RAID, and stuff like that.
Even then, you could get it from Falcon Northwest for cheaper.
Save your money, and get the Sager NP9170, or the Asus Republic of Gamers G75x.
You could get it with a Nvidia GeForce 680M, which is top of the line, or the ATI Radeon 7970M. Either way, it's really hard to go wrong.
