| Good. I hope their parents ground them for a year too. To make the punishment even more severe, they will be sent to a non-school facility where they will be tutored academically and will be required to complete 50 hours of community service with senior citizens. |

| The community service part was a nice touch, although I would have suggested more hours. |

| I feel bad for the kids though, now their life is pretty much ruined at a naive age. |

Yeah, kind of like expulsion.
Now they'll grow up to be morally sound, but with absolutely no future. |

Their names won't be released, so I don't think it will affect their future.

| How about we make them do the bus monitor's job and get the bus monitor to bully them? |

Because that would be unbelievably stupid and would not work.

| No it wouldn't. We could get people to bully them and see how they like being bullied. It works. |

If kids were forced to bully me, I wouldn't care because I know they don't mean anything.

^^^ The poor bus monitor has been bullied for a year and these little kids will have to go through a few weeks of work and then they'll continue harassing someone else. They need to be taught a real lesson. |

They are suspended for a year where they will go to a very strict school and they have 50 hours of community service. I think that is pretty harsh.

| Do you honestly think that they'll be changed because of being SUSPENDED? I was suspended for a week for defending myself after getting punched in the back of the head. Does that mean I will not defend myself if I get hit? |

@Thepit A strict school won't cut it. We should advocate for the belting or caning of naughty students. That would be much better, wouldn't it? |

| @Sil- I agree with you, suspension is ineffective, something more physical works better. |

@Dr
Because that was for something stupid.
@sil4ncer
Although I do believe in corporal punishment from parents, it is illegal in the United States, so you may as well give up on that option.

| Then I believe it is time we repeal that law. This generation should be taught a lesson or two about their attitude to others. |

Agreed. There is a reason why this generation is doing so poorly compared to the previous one.

| Actually I repeal my previous statement on corporal punishment, I believe the "victim" should turn around and punch/talk back to the attacker. If he thinks that others will protect him, he is sure to be a door mat for the rest of his life. |
